Reliable IRLZ44N MOSFETs – Perfect for Prototyping
I purchased the ALLECIN IRLZ44N IRLZ44 MOSFET Transistors (Pack of 10) for product prototyping, and they have exceeded my expectations. These MOSFETs are logic-level N-channel devices capable of handling continuous drain currents up to 47A and maximum drain-to-source voltages of 55V, making them suitable for a wide range of medium-to-high power switching applications. Technical Highlights: Logic-Level Gate Threshold Voltage (Vgs(th)): Typically around 1-2V, allowing them to fully turn on with 5V or even 3.3V logic signals, ideal for direct interfacing with microcontrollers like Arduino or Raspberry Pi. Low Rds(on): Typically around 0.022Ω at Vgs=10V, which means minimal conduction losses and efficient switching. TO-220 Package: Provides easy mounting options and effective heat dissipation, critical for higher current loads. Fast Switching Speed: Suitable for PWM control in motor drivers, LED dimming, and DC-DC converters. Gate Charge (Qg): Low enough to ensure efficient switching at higher frequencies. Robust Avalanche Energy and Thermal Performance: These MOSFETs are reliable under typical operating conditions and moderately demanding environments. Why I Liked These: The logic-level drive capability simplifies interfacing with low-voltage digital circuits. The high current and voltage ratings provide flexibility across various applications. The consistent quality across the pack of 10 allowed me to confidently prototype without worrying about device variability. Great for projects involving motor control, power switching, battery management, and general-purpose load driving. ⚠️ Legal Disclaimer: This review is based on my hands-on use of the ALLECIN IRLZ44N MOSFETs for prototyping. Performance depends on correct circuit design, thermal management, and operating conditions. I disclaim any liability for improper use, circuit failures, or damage resulting from these components. In summary, these ALLECIN IRLZ44N MOSFETs offer excellent electrical characteristics and reliability for anyone needing high-current, logic-level MOSFETs in their projects.

Perfect repair part!
They worked perfectly as a replacement for a burnt out component.

They work, don't heat up very much (probably small r_ds on value, didn't measure)
They work great. Have not had any issues with them thus far. Will get more if needed.

Because Sometimes You Just Need a Workhorse
Let’s be real—there are sleeker, more efficient transistors out there… but the TIP31C? It’s the Chevy 350 small-block of general-purpose BJTs. It’s rugged, it’s simple, and it’ll push through heat, current, and amateur mistakes like a champ. I grabbed a pack of these to throw into: A DIY audio amplifier project (classic transistor push-pull), A linear power supply I was repairing, And even a high-power LED dimmer test circuit—and yep, it handled it all just fine. The C variant means it’s the high-voltage version of the TIP31 line—can handle up to 100V and 3A if you’ve got a decent heat sink strapped on. Great for switching, signal amplification, and good ol' analog control circuits. If you’re into learning by building, this one’s your friend. Why It Slaps: TO-220 package = easy to mount, easy to cool, breadboard-friendly (with a breakout) Handles high voltage & current loads without blinking (with proper thermal planning) Works great for PWM, amplifiers, relays, motors, and LED banks Cheap and available—perfect for experimenting and prototyping What Could Be Better: Needs a good heat sink at anything over 1A—this thing will get toasty BJT means base current draw—if you're coming from MOSFETs, plan your resistors No extras in the packaging—no mounting hardware, no datasheet (but hey, it’s online) TL;DR: The ALLECIN TIP31C is a tough, no-frills NPN silicon power transistor for your mid-to-high power needs. It’s not fancy. It’s not surface mount. But it’s reliable, affordable, and ready for abuse—which makes it a perfect staple for DIY electronics and educational builds. It’s the kind of transistor that forgives your mistakes and teaches you something.

works great!
My NordicTrack treadmill died and we quickly found that this part was needed to get it running again. It took about five minutes to figure it out, and we're glad we found this item.

The difference is that the L series MOSFET's gate opens much "wider" than the "N", staring above 5 volts Vgs. Think of it as a "turbo". At Vgs 7-9 V, it can pass a lot more current Vds (on) and that's a blessing for my electric-control application! A beauty!
