Base Camp Voyager Messenger Bag

Dad loves it! It is smaller than the older version of it. But it was time for a refresh.

It is a versatile bag with a casual design at a fair price for the quality of manufacture, it looks good in shades of green and the brand logo in black makes it less visible, as I don't like it to attract too much attention. It is good that it includes many attachment points so that different things such as keys, bottles, etc. can be secured with hooks. The material is excellent good workmanship, withstands light rain I have not tested it in downpours. The bag is really slim when empty it is not heavy either, but it loses a little shape with heavy items. The capacity is sufficient for daily routine like going to the office or college, although if more space is required it may not be adequate. The strap is padded and comfortable, its back is soft and molds to the shape of the shoulder enough for not very heavy things and not very long trips. It has anchor loops at the top and a handle that has no padding and could be padded like the main strap. The front exterior pocket has no dividers and can be used to keep things handy, however, it could be made of soft material like the interior; the exterior pocket on the back side is fair, but it could be deeper. Nothing is perfect, its main strength is the materiality, the design, colors, along with the main compartment which is spacious with a fairly simple even reductionist layout with only two unzippered mesh pockets so it could have more pockets or compartments of different sizes with zippers or fluffy divisions, plus, pen holders to better organize things and keep them from moving, however, it does have a hook for keys. The space for the laptop is sufficient for 15.6” and I like that it is plush which helps in protecting it from bumps and scratches. It could only be improved by having more interior pockets for better organization.

I bought this laptop bag for my husband for Christmas and he loves it so far. I bought the laptop bag to matching his 42L duffle weekender bag which he was a huge fan of and the laptop bag did not disappoint.

Ok I've had this bag for couple months now and have two big complaints. The cushioned area on the strap is extremely frustrating. If you want to just cary the bag on one shoulder without it slung over the body, the shape makes that difficult and it slides off. The second complaint is the way the strap is attached to the bag, in the back rather than even on the side. It makes things front heavy and unstable. I keep wanting to love the bag, but every time I use it I'm annoyed.

I am using this bag every day. I had an older version of a Basecamp messenger bag, which was larger, but this one looks great, and keeps my laptop dry…

My New iT bag, I used to for work everyday now I only bring the backpack if I’m traveling with more then 3 large devices. Only con is I wish the shoulder pads padding was thicker.
