Amazons choice and My choice!
The item arrives in the sturdiest thick cardboard box I think I have seen with sellotape and extra straps. Inside each part is in an plastic bag. There is an assembly booklet which is easy to follow if you need it. There really is not too much to put together it’s pretty self explanatory. Another reviewer said they had a problem with an screw thread where the wheels go on. I had the similar issue with the screw threads. The threads were a bit chewed up along the length but you only require the end of the thread to get the nut onto. The ends of mine were fine. However there is too much overspill of paint from the framework on one of the welded bolts and it was a struggle to get one of the wheels on and over this. I managed to scrap a bit of it off but ended up scratching the paint on the frame too so I stopped and forced the wheel on and tightened the nut. Once I finished the assembly I tried pushing it empty around the floor. One shell turns fine, the other is stuck solid and just drags around the floor. However this is fine for me. I don’t want to move it around. That is just a bonus for me having wheels on it. I just want it to store my extra plates on so I can get them off the floor. You will require your own tools to put this together. I placed my plates inside the assembled rack with plates similar to the picture of the item further down the product page where it shows you the coloured smaller weight plates. They store nicely like in the picture but if you were to pick up the handle end of the item, the smaller plates will drop straight through out the bottom of the rack. I did not realise this when purchasing as the picture looks like it is holding them in place ready to move around. This is fine for me as I do not want to move it around. However if you have additional storage pegs like I have, you can place your bumper plates from them into this rack and place your smaller weight plates on your other storage pegs to solve this issue. Once the rack is full of bumper plates it will move around very easy even with one wheel dragging like mine. Hopefully the wheel will free up over time but I don’t plan on moving it around much. The wooden floor is old so it wont matter if it scratches it either. I am sure if I contacted the seller they would have replaced the item asap but I have not contacted them as I am very happy with the item. It has sorted out my plate storage problem. The item was a very good price too. The quality of the build and finish is extremely good. I can highly recommend. I may of just got one that sneaked through the quality checks.

EXCELENT BIT OF KIT! Been looking for something like this for a while. Great size, well made and has the plastic inserts to protect the olympic bars when holstered.

Olympic plates preferred
I have built up a set of standard hole plates. My max plate size is 10kg and 25.5 cm diameter/height they will slide to the side and jam if you don't put them in carefully. I think wider diameter olympic plates would sit better in there. Because they stack the plates like a jukebox it is much easier and quicker to grab plates one handed when loading up a bar. The handle is solid but don't bother fitting it unless you can find a good quality pair of casters as the ones supplied are an afterthought. Solid simple and tidy, will outlive you.

Good value compared to other similar items
Good value, Strong (holding 150kg), but wheels don’t roll effectively when loaded but still useable
