FitBALL Yoga is a great 50 minute DVD that combines Yoga postures with an exercise ball for a different and effective Yoga workout. Medical exercise specialist, trainer, and Yoga instructor Carol Mitchell teaches you how this blended workout can help align body and mind while strengthening muscles and releasing tension. These Yoga postures are great for all fitness levels and help you relax and feel calm. Ease your body and mind into a relaxed but stronger state with FitBALL Yoga. Review: This DVD was disappointing. First off, Carol had no smile or personality until the end when she actually seemed to be having fun trying to keep her balance on the ball. Her voice was monotone, and it seemed as if she was narrating most of the video as if it were a punishment. Secondly, the cueing and timing were off. By the time I was getting caught up on doing a lunge or other move, she was on to the next thing. When I'd look up, often times her instruction and what she was doing were off. In addition, sometimes she would say something like, "You should do 15 of these" or "Ideally you could do 15 of these," but then she wouldn't do what she mentioned doing. Frustrating. As if I'm going to go back after the DVD and relaxation is over to do what she hadn't finished. Because of all the mix ups, poor timing and cueing, lack of personality, etc., I would not recommend, especially for beginners who might not know how to modify the routine.
