HELMET SHIELD - HJ-09 (DARK SMOKE)

Got this shield today. Genuine HJC part bought from MC Powersports. Installed it on my matte black HJC CL-16. It fit great, no issues. Movement doesn't seem as fluid (a little bit tighter), but it can be moved with one hand no problem. Optics are good...nice and clear. Stared at a compact fluorescent bulb that usually blinds me, the tint works great. It looks amazing on a matte black helmet. I feel just like the day I got the windows tinted on my car (hell of a lot cheaper though).

in the daytime its cool and dark but everybody knows that. The main concern is nighttime riding, I'm sure. I cant say this thing will protect you from yourself if you want to speed down roads with no lights or whatever unsafe thing you choose but I can say I work to be a safe rider a great deal of the time, look ahead and plan, keep watchful of other a-hole drivers, potholes, and other crap hazards, etc., and this helmet shield doesn't keep me from doing any of that at night time at all, no matter where I go. I don't have any extra bright beams or bulbs on my bike aside from the one main one and using this shield doesn't make me feel any less safe or visually impaired. As far as the construction, It a fine product. It takes all the bugs, cigarettes, and rocks you can throw at it and it fits just like it should. Perfectly. There are no gaps or bends or imperfections in the plastic whatsoever. And if I should ever want to swap it back out? Clicks off/on in 2 seconds. It took longer to open the bag it came in.

I use this helmet with a snowmobile, not a motorcycle so I appreciate that it's tinted. It's not quite as fancy or rugged as the original but it fit perfectly. I did take off one star because the tinting is not as described. It's a solid smoke color, not graduated as the description indicates. Fine for daytime riding, but way too dark to use at night or even twilight. Hopefully it's at least somewhat scratch resistant.

Perfect replacement for those that ride with a clear shield and sunglasses. This makes it a lot easier than having to shuffle eyewear around - I wear glasses, so if it’s sunny out I have to wear sunglasses when I ride, and then when I get to where I’m going, I have to change to my normal glasses, then back to sunglasses again when it’s time to go. It seems minor, but there are already so many different things to account for when riding a motorcycle, and I’m all about simplifying my process wherever it’s possible. The shield works just as well as my sunglasses do, and was super easy to install. Also a side note- I’m sure it’s not recommended to ride with a smoked shield when it’s dark out, but I rode to work at 5:30 am before sunrise with the smoked shield (forgot to swap to the clear one) and while it obviously wasn’t crystal clear vision, I could still see everything just fine. In a pinch, you could ride with it in the dark. I would have just rode with it open but I go 50mph+ on the route I take to work so I figured it would be best to just keep it closed.

Holly Molly! When I wear this shield in the sun I feel loved! Visibility is comfortable and clear. Easy to put on. Locks right in place. Fits and feels 95% like the original one, when you raise and lower it. During the day and under strong sun you don't lose the natural sense of the scene. It's pretty balanced; dark enough to keep you comfortable, yet keeps it real. I don't think your face can be seen from outside. Last night I was late with friends and had to ride back home around midnight. Visibility was better than another originally dark helmet I had.

Worked very well for our project. We use these to cut up and make visors for our costuming helmets. We have been using motorcycle helmets for years for our costuming projects. We recently found these particular ones on Amazon. They were prime as a bonus, something we have a hard time finding to get shipped to us quickly for our customers. So this has been a fantastic find. The color that we got is dark smoke, and looks beautifully. Having cut up a lot of shields, these are a great quality. Thick but not too much that it is hard to get through. We get a few smaller visors out of these, so it is very useful. Since I cannot report on how these are used for motorcycles, but only that they are durable and they take a lot of bending and shaping. They have not cracked or broke with all of the rigorous movement that we put them through to get them into out costuming piece. Definitely have found a permanent supplier of helmet shields for my business.

No experience with full face helmets so I can only comment on the look and quality. I have always ridden with half helmets so this was purchased for my HJC CL-17. This is identical to the OEM shield that came with the helmet in terms of weight, fit, and finish. Fits the same, open an closes the same...... exact. As far as how dark it is? It looked pretty dark when I mounted it but it is quite surprising how much visibility you have while wearing. Yes, for the absolute privacy people, you can see your eyes through the shield in the daylight. I wouldn't recommend wearing it at night but you could get away with it if there was decent street lighting. Similar to dark auto tint. It's been raining for 2 weeks since I got the shield so I have no usage to date.

Fit my new flat black hjc helmet just like it should and looks good. It’s a simple smoke lense, similar to any pair of fairly dark sunglasses. Helps knock out that bright Arizona sun. I wear perscription eyeglasses and this is the way to go if you don’t have sunglasses. Probably gonna buy a spare just Incase. Scratches don’t show as easy on this smoke lense compared to the mirror finish ones, which is nice. Would buy again.

Nose si es original pero si parece, es muy bueno el material y le quedó perfecta a mi hjc cs15

Le queda muy bien a mi casco HJC CS-15, lo volvería a comprar oh otro color saludos 🏍️💨🫰
