This is a really great product Was smaller than I expected, but worked out well for my project.

Works as expected definitely a good deal for stainless steel latches. Installation can be a little tricky since you have to have the latch open in order to access the screws. But I always start with the top hook and then install the bottom to make sure you get a tight latch. All in all a great product and I’ve used these for tons of my projects on Etsy.

Latches work as expected. Throw away the screws that come with it because the heads snap off too easy.

Physically the hook will not clip onto the latch as it is designed, it is extremely difficult to install due to an unnecessary spring that makes getting to the two screw holes under the lever nearly impossible, but mainly, once installed properly, it will not latch, and installed while both parts are connected, it physically cannot unlatch due to the design failure. The metal is very flimsy, easily bendable by hand. Poorly designed and untested

These are a lot smaller than I was expecting and I have not used them yet, but they should work out just fine.

Getting it set up

I can't complain about the size, as the seller makes it very clear how big they are. That said, you might still be surprised at just how small they are. I think it's less to do with the size than the build quality – these are VERY light-duty. They feel less like steel than an Altoids tin. The hard plastic box they're packaged in is also excessive, when a little bag or even a small box would have meant far less plastic. They function as advertised, and the size is listed very plainly on their ad. Well done on that front. If the release catch was designed for easier access and they'd chosen slightly more robust steel to stamp them from, I'd have been far happier with the purchase. ** Update: I've since had the chance to install the latches on my project, and what a nightmare. As a result, I've changed my review from 3 stars to 1. The hook side of the latch is so long, that when properly installed, the bar on the latch side can't reach over it. I had to grind the hook down by half to make the latch work properly. Unless you're willing to do some grinding, I recommend any other solution.
