Idgie Threadgoode would be proud.
Its local so I am absolutely loving this. The taste is great and honey color is very clear and clean. It has not even begun to crystalize over several weeks now. I did a little research on the company and they are legit. No rice honey for me! Its consistency has the perfect thickness for pouring.

Taste wonderful
Taste wonderful. It has the appearance of a glass jar, but it is not. However, with that being said it was not a large quantity so I don’t have to worry about crystallization. Great but.

Great taste, price questionable
This is excellent honey it’s just I found two dollars cheaper at Walmart. So if you don’t feel like going to Walmart, order it online it’s Rich doesn’t take much. I use it in my coffee every morning instead of sweetener..

The honey is of good quality
The honey is of good quality, but during transportation the jar was damaged and half of the honey leaked out. Fast delivery. I recommend this seller.

DECEPTIVE SALES PRACTICES ALERT
Deceptive for TWO reasons: First, I bought this because I was familiar with Mountain Ridge as a North Carolina company (where I live). Also because it appeared to be in a GLASS MASON JAR -- It is not glass but PLASTIC with MASON embossed on the plastic. I searched online to see if I could find plastic mason jars and I could not. I do not buy honey in plastic. This container was labeled "1" meaning: #1 – PET or PETE (polyethylene terephthalate) - PET is used for water and soft drink bottles, mouthwash bottles, containers for condiments like nut butters and ketchup, and TV dinner trays. It is usually downcycled into carpet fibers, fleece jackets, and sometimes new containers. PET is considered safe, but evidence shows it can actually leach the toxic metal antimony, which is used during its manufacture. One study looked at 63 brands of bottled water produced in Europe and Canada and found concentrations of antimony that were more than 100 times the typical level found in clean groundwater (2 parts per trillion). The study also found that the longer a PET bottle sits on the shelf—in a grocery store or in your pantry—the greater the amount of antimony present. It is also thought that the amount of antimony leaching from these PET bottles increases the more they are exposed to sunlight and heat.Brominated compounds have also been found to leach into PET bottles. Bromine displaces iodine in the body, and is a central nervous system depressant. It can accumulate over time, and trigger health problems. (Source: SmallFootprintFamily.com) SECOND, Although I know Mountain Ridge to be a North Carolina company, and the honey label identifies them as such -- the LID on the jar gives the Best Buy date and 'PRODUCT OF BRAZIL.' Now, why would I want to buy organic honey that is not local but from Brazil, that sits in a plastic jar that will leach harmful things into my organic honey??? The answer is, I would not have bought this product if those things were known to me from the listing. So DECEPTIVE PRACTICE. I will write about this on Facebook as well to let all my NC readers know. How sad that what was once a fine company would resort to such despicable underhanded practices.

Favorite Honey
My FAVORITE Honey! I even ordered it when I’m in New Jersey. I’m able to get this honey in my local grocery store, but for some reason they were out and I only had 2 teaspoons of it left for my coffee so I had to order it through Amazon. It’s really the only honey that I will have with my coffee it’s just so delicious And it actually helps with my allergies.

NOT a Glass Jar. PLASTIC.
Many of my reviews are long and detailed. I will keep this one short. The flavor of the honey is very good. Consistency is satisfactory----not too thin or too thick. I would have rated it higher than a 3, but one of the primary reasons I ordered it is because they clearly stated that it comes in a glass jar. It's not glass. It's plastic. And the metal lid doesn't fit it well----hard to put the lid back on, cross threads, is too tight. For various reasons, I ordered this because I wanted glass. Claiming the jar is glass is either a lie or an oversight, and I'm certainly leaning toward lie because at this point, there is no reason why the listing should continue to claim the jar is glass. They apparently know that they are baiting people with that claim, which is right in the headline. I wish Amazon could do something to force deceptive advertisers to correct their ads or be banned from selling. This was/is a major disappointment to have received something not worth the price. If the seller is dishonest about what the container is made of, who's to say they aren't being dishonest about what's in the container? Avoid this.
