This GFCI worked well and is comparative in price and build to other GFCI outlets form other manufacturers. The plug also has clamp type wire retainers so you don’t have to wrap the wire around the screws. The only issue I had was that the holes in the back are not large enough to accept 10 AWG wire. This is not an issue for most installations unless you have a long run and want to use a larger gauge wire to prevent voltage drop.

This is for a garage which does not trip every time it rains! Amazing

Watch a YouTube video and turn a screwdriver - you can do this! My 40 YO house exterior sockets were not weather proof or GFIs. Before adding a new exterior sprinkler controller I installed two of these sockets. Just connect 3 wires - OH! and first TURN OFF the power first and confirm with a GFI tester before proceeding. EZ for any handyman or woman. Good value, fit, quality, test light. I added an exterior weather proof socket cover of polycarbonate.

The outlet itself seems fine and well made but if you're trying to attach the wire to the terminal screws the plastic tabs that hold the outlet together are too close and at the same height as the screw when its loose blocking you from simply just hooking the wire around it. Luckily I only had one outlet so I just messed with it till I got it to work but if I had multiple of these I would have immediately returned them.

Easy to install. Heavy duty construction.

Purchases 2/6/26. No power to anything plugged into outlet. Reset does not set (comes right back out). I have tested all of the connection wires and have 120V to the GFSI. Green light is on. Outlet tester got nothing. Something internal is wrong since it fails to reset. Too late for a replacement, so 1 month to return is just not enough as they have complaints on this issue all of the time. Next time I'll order a name brand product.

I had a GFCI that died. This was a nice drop-in replacement. I like that you can just put the solid wire straight into the slot and tighten, no wrapping needed. Good directions for installation.

cumplen con las caractiristicas especificadas de proteccion de falla a tierra, despues de la instalacion realice una prueba y opero bien, como nota solo viene el puro contacto no trae tapa frontal por lo que tendran que pedir por separado. La instala en modo paralelo para otros 2 contactos de lababo.

Quedaron bien y funcionaba solo hay que leer las instrucciones ya que tienen una forma de instalarse sino es correcta no funcionan

I HATE being forced to use these useless GFCI things. Every single name brand outlet thats outside in a proper licensed electrician installed bad has failed in a couple of years. This is my first Amazon Basics one but even if it only lasts as long as the others, at least I’m not spending as much money

Easy to install and it does the job.

The test button on my old kitchen outlet popped clean off one day so I decided to replace the socket on my own. I have no experience with this sort of thing but I found the process simple and straightforward. The instructions that come with this gizmo aren’t amazing but there’s lots of good short videos out there to fill in the gaps. Don’t forget to turn the power off at the breaker, don’t mix up any wires (labelling helps), and don’t confuse LINE with LOAD. The best advice I got was to snap a photo of the preexisting wiring before removing anything - you will just need to replicate that basically. My outlet was actually wired a bit strangely so I ended up referring to the photo several times.
