My 7 year old builds forts for his knights & soldiers with them all the time! **Q: Where are these blocks made?** A: We actually are starting negotiations to have these blocks made in the USA. **Q: are they unfinished? or is there any varnish applied?** A: Varnish? these are completely eco friendly and have been extensively sanded. Truthfully we barely make 10% on this item we just thought it was cool bringing back kindergarten days. So, we made sure that these are top of the line. They might be finished (if that includes NO SPLINTERS EVER), but varnish sounds like a nasty word and I did not look it up. If it is paint then NO we did not paint or put gloss on them like Melissa and Doug may or may not do. And we do not use that fake rubber wood. This is pure New Zealand Pine. **Q: I need to know how many of each size block are in the 64-piece set: unit; half unit; double unit; large triangle; small triangle.** A: Haha don’t worry about it. I’ll count them and get back to you. We are removing the smallest piece and replacing with a large circle. So instead of i believe 13 different sizes it’ll be 9-12 making each block even larger. This will be the adult size one as is huge $99.99.
