## Overview

The ENGINEER PA-07 Precision Wire Strippers combine razor-sharp S55C carbon steel jaws with ergonomic TPR grips to deliver flawless insulation removal across a broad range of wire gauges (AWG12-24 stranded, AWG10-22 solid). Made in Japan, these professional-grade strippers ensure clean, damage-free wire preparation, making them an essential tool for meticulous electricians and electronics pros.

## Description

Professional grade wire strippers designed to remove insulation from wire swiftly, neatly and without deformation. The razor sharp carbon steel jaws strip stranded wire gauges AWG12 - AWG24 (SWG14 - SWG25) and solid core wire gauges AWG10 - AWG22 (SWG11 - SWG23). The TPR (thermoplastic rubber) handle grips are a delight to hold and use.

Review: I'm delighted, wish I'd bought these years ago rather than making do with cheap manglers. - You know that feeling you get when you find a quality tool after years of putting up with something average (or junk)? That's how I feel now. These are not made for heavy duty electrical work, but they are perfect for working on electronics. Small, light, and very sharp. There is only one tiny criticism I can make, and I'm really being picky here just for the sake of a full review. After factory grinding of the cutting edges for the blades, there was a tiny burr left on each of the leading edges of the little pillars between the wire stripping holes. It's quite difficult to explain exactly what I mean, but you can feel it immediately when running a finger over the flat side of the "scissor" where the blades cross over.. This could possibly cause a bit of a ragged strip on really delicate wires, although the burr is so thin that it would wear off after a couple of uses anyway. (see what I mean when I say I'm really stretching it to find any fault at all?). I gently ran a needle file over the sides of the little "pillars" between the blades a couple of times to knock off the burrs, being careful not to file the cutting edges. I also found the spring a bit weak at first, sort of "spongy" rather than "springy", but after using it for a while you quickly realise that this is probably by design, and means the repetitive motion of opening and closing to strip the wires requires almost no effort which makes it very comfortable to use. I'm delighted, wish I'd bought these years ago rather than making do with cheap manglers.
Review: A Forever Purchase - superb quality tool, a forever purchase

superb quality tool, a forever purchase

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quality and Precision.
*by P***E on 16 August 2017*

These wire strippers are precision ground and very sharp. No more yanking the insulation from wires and damaging the conductor in the process. I have tried lots of wire strippers across a wide spectrum of pricing and these are probably the best value ones I've used. They can handle 22 gauge wire upwards (16 gauge max, I think) and are great for the professional and hobbyist alike in electronics or electrical installation. There's a handy thumb operated catch to lock them in a safe closed position as they are lightly spring loaded to aid use. They are made from hardened steel and have comfortable textured rubberised handle grips with hanging holes at the ends of the handles. Due to the design it's possible to use them to strip very short lengths of insulation which would be impossible using automatic wire strippers due to design limitations. Great value for a quality product.
