The MET Certified 2 Pack Seedling Heat Mat by Seedfactor is a great addition for seed starting. These heat mats provide consistent warmth that help speed up germination. I chose the 10" x 20" as these mats fit perfectly under my seed trays. They work well . My friend has had her heat mats from this company for many years. These MET Certified 2 Pack Seedling Heat mats also work really well under your sourdough starter. I like my house cool which is actually why I choose these 2 pack mats. One for germinating seeds, the other for sourdough starters. Waterproof and durable, these mats are sure to last for years. Very easy to use, great for my multipurpose. The Seedling Heat Mat is a fantastic choice for beginners or anyone starting their seed germination journey. It’s easy to use, reliable, and has made a noticeable difference in helping my seeds sprout faster and more consistently. After two years of use, my mats are still going strong, which speaks to their durability. I started over 1,000 seeds last season rotating out this mat (you can see in the photo that I had great germination and healthy seedlings), so it does work BUT as you can see in my video, the mat runs a little too warm for certain methods of seed starting and burnt the seeds a bit, which might not be ideal for more advanced gardeners or farmers who will need precise temperature control. I had no issues with traditional seed starting in trays. If you’re growing a variety of seedlings that require specific temperature settings for ideal germination, I’d recommend investing in a mat with temperature control. Overall, this is a great, budget-friendly option to kickstart your gardening season and perfect for those just getting started!

These units have been in continuous operation for three years, running 24/7, and have consistently performed exceptionally in facilitating seed germination prior to outdoor transplantation. Great heat mat at a fair price. What I like about it #1 it is at least 20 Watts of heat since some heat mats only put out 17 watts which is not enough to produce 85 degrees F, actually 22 watts would be better but no one seems to make them anymore ! #2 It lays flat (some of the Chinese heat mats are too crinkly to use as the plant cells don't allow cover to fit due to tops of cell packs being too irregular in height ! #3. Very fast shipping., it arrived first thing in the morning. What I didn't like Amazon lied about where they delivered it ( It was in my mailbox , which I didn't mind but they said it was at my front door ) wavy height of cell packs

I dont know how I ever got any seeds started before i got these mats. They are great. I dont have to worry about if my seedlings are warm enough because the heat in my house changes at different times of the day and seeds just beginning life need a warm temperature constantly or that is what I found. And these mats will last a long time, they are well made and sturdy. They arrived so fast too. I got them in only a few days using amazon prime. I am very pleased with this purchase and I have already told others about how great they are.

These heating/germinating mats are sized correctly and operate as described. I've used them for two seasons now and continue to be satisfied. May not be the most inexpensive heating mats you can find but they work as expected and the longer power cords are useful. They cannot be attached to one another so you will need a power bar or other similar access to power if you have a number of them set up together. --

The heat pads do speed up germination and growth of cucumber and tomato seedings grown in my basement under plant growth lights. I will trans plant these plants into my garden as soon as the night frost threat is gone. Theses pad are an excellent idea! Jay Bartsch, Brooks Alberta

I suggest you use a cheap temperature controller with these mats. One controller works for both mats. I use this to start hydroponic seedlings, so there is no soil mass to heat so it gets too warm otherwise. I use a $20 temp controller and put the probe in a hydro seed block..works perfectly. They come packed tightly in a box and it takes some effort to get them flat...which is mildly annoying if you are OCD about stuff like that. I am so I put them under a piece of 3/4" plywood and a 5G pail of water (50#) for a couple of days and they came out much flatter.
