⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Best Organic Potting Mix I’ve Ever Used!
Back to the Roots 100% Organic Potting Mix is hands-down one of the best soil mixes I’ve used for my indoor and outdoor plants. From the moment I opened the bag, I could tell it was high quality—rich, dark, and full of life. You can actually smell the freshness, and there’s zero trace of that synthetic or chemical odor you find in some other brands. I love that it’s completely organic and peat-free, which makes it a more sustainable choice for the environment. The mix is fluffy yet dense enough to hold moisture, and my plants have absolutely thrived in it. Whether I’m repotting houseplants, starting herbs, or adding soil to my garden containers, this mix consistently delivers great results. Another huge plus? No weird fillers or mystery ingredients. It’s packed with natural nutrients like root-boosting mycorrhizae and biochar, so my plants have strong roots and grow faster and healthier. And since it’s ready to use right out of the bag, it makes gardening super convenient. If you care about your plants and the planet, you won’t regret switching to Back to the Roots Organic Potting Mix. It’s truly a game changer for any level of gardener—from beginners to green-thumb pros!

"Wholly spider mites batman"
NOT HAPPY! I bought your soil to repot my growing indoor plants and I was moving them all up to new and larger planters. I used this potting mix to fill up the extra room for the bigger pots. Soon after all my indoor plants are infested with spider mites. I order another bag of potting soil from another brand because it is double the size for a better price. I could not understand how all my plants had become infected but i knew they had to be repotted. I open up the this bag to finish it off first before the new soil I bought. and look in the bag and it is literally moving there are so many spider mites in the bag. The plants are not close to each other and they are are in all new pots. Simply put, this soil has made several of my plants sick and two have died. I have bought new soil and repotted them and disinfecting all the leaves of all my plants with an alcohol/water/dish soap solution in my house in the hopes to destroy all of the eggs underneath the leaves. This has been time consuming and awful. I am pretty upset as you can imagine. I wish I had taken pictures but I only thought of it as an afterthought. This whole experience has made me weary of potting soil.

Last time was fine but this time…
Ummm the dirt is fine I think but this time around the bag was THICKLY COVERED in dead flies it was disturbing! I thought it was caked on dirt but it was not eek! I haven’t opened the bag yet but I hope there isn’t a pest infestation inside…

Doesn't dry quickly
I bought this to help my indoor sunflowers thrive. I started growing them earlier in the year for my kids when their school plants died. We're in NYC and had originally used wild dirt. In short NYC plants is pretty darn hardy considering the fact our dirt doesn't hold moisture well. I had to essentially water our sunflowers daily in the wild dirt. Cut to this bag of indoor soil, it's holding up well. It came to me premoistened with no pebbles and debris. It does have some tiny wood chips or sticks but it's not a big deal considering this is far better than NYC wild dirt. My sunflowers have been thriving. I don't have to water any where as frequently and I didn't have to enrich the soil as much as I did with the wild. Wild NYC dirt needed so much work to be ok for the sunflowers. I fertilized the soil, added dehydrated fish and spent coffee beans to help enrich the soil for the flowers. I didn't do anything with this brand of soil much to my delight. It's working well for my needs and will reorder should I want to start growing other indoor plants.

Decent, contain broken sticks and stones
I only got it because some plants I've started are outgrowing their starter pots and I need good soil to supply nutrients to the growing plants. I found this and decided to give it a try. The soil came a bit dry, but that could be due to many factors like how it was stored, the dryness or heat of the environment, and how long it was left out in the sun before I got a notification that it came. I just started gardening, so I am not sure how good the potting mix really is. The soil did retain moisture, so I am not constantly watering my plants from the heat wave we are having. I do notice my plants having a short burst of growth the first month or so before staying stagnant again. So the soil seems to be working. However, I got another potting soil from a big box store and after another month, both this and the organic potting mix seemed to have no difference in my plants' growth. One big con I found is the soil did not look like the how pictures advertised, blackish soil with 1-2 rocks in one shovel. The soil that came had probably 40% 1-3cm sticks, 15% pea-sized broken stones, some dried roots, and lots of tiny, white crystals. I'm not sure if the broken stone or the tiny crystal is the described limestone. The sticks are fine as in the long run they will be broken down, but at one point I thought I bought mulch instead of soil. However, I am still skeptical about the stones though. A quick search online said that dolomite limestone can take up to 2-4 months to break down. I got this soil in May and it's almost the end of August and the broken stones that I left in the soil and buried deep down have not broken down, there is still plenty of white crystal too. I'll check again in a month or two, but I feel slightly cheated. Especially for a "premium blend" and the cost-to-weight ratio is more than say a regular 25 qt. potting soil from a big box store.
