Real-Time Information Confirmed by Light 16bit 24bit 32bit DSD Review: Awesome...eventually! - After spending a significant amount of time trying to connect to wifi (2 different routers and a hotspot) and getting 'limited connectivity' trying everything I could think of, I eventually found for some bizarre reason changing the time zone solved the issue (made no sense!) and I could then do a firmware update and revert back to GMT with no further issues... DAR (basically an upscaling feature) is incredible, the sound is noticeably more analogue, it's like having a really high end turntable in a dustproof environment but with extra top end clarity (paired with Denon AH-D9200 headphones and custom cable). Having been a big vinyl fan back in time this is as close as I've found from a digital source. Can't recommend them enough. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic Product and Company *by G***A on 13 September 2024* I previously owned the A&K Kann Alpha and started to have issues running Tidal’s new FLAC format music on the device. After talking with an extremely helpful and knowledgeable person at HEA Distribution (Stephan Orphanides) they explained the likely cause of my issues and recommended the new A&K Kann Ultra which would better cope with the higher demands of the new music format. I decided to upgrade and after receiving my new A&K Kann Ultra and using it for a while now, I can confirm that it’s an absolutely fantastic product. Don’t get me wrong, the Kann Alpha was very good, but the Ultra is next level! Astell & Kern have totally revamped the operating system and it is so much more responsive (not clunky at all now!), there is a much larger and better quality display and to me there is a noticeable improvement in sound quality which I thought wouldn't be possible!! The whole device screams quality and if you are considering an upgrade I would thoroughly recommend the Kann Ultra without hesitation. I have no regrets what so ever with this purchase.
