*The* best Bass String
DR Pure Blues are simply put, THE string to rule them all. Round-core, so they're very flexible and pliant, so much easier on your hands and responsive to dynamics. You won't end up with messed up hands from overly stiff strings after a 2 hour gig The nickel formula used here is the most resilient I've used on any string, they hold their tone (for me anyway) for 10-12 gigs, then dying off into a still very usable, but less harmonic sound. Tonally, they're warm but with a detailed and refined edge that other nickels don't have. No harshness to be found anywhere here, but at the same time, not quite the usual, treble shy, nickel sound. I've used every brand under the sun, every gauge, every metal type, every core type, and these are by far and away the best. Why buy crap like Rotosound, which die after 3 hours and eat your frets, or Slinkies which are still the only strings I've ever broke and also are tonally dead within 3-5 hours, when you can have these?

Definitely not your ordinary Nickel bass strings.
Fitted to a Precision bass with Bartolini Pickups, these strings offer exactly what they say on the box. Warm punch with edge. I find nickel plated strings not always optimum for precision basses, they lack that natural mid scoop Stainless Roundwounds and Flatwounds have. Yet these are unique enough to explore further. The high end 'Edge' is very refined and "modern" sounding. Apply the typical rock EQ with an amp or preamp, dig in hard and these strings soar. Happy I chose to try something new. Product arrived promptly and all in good order many thanks!

Smooth and Mellow
It was time to replace the Dads that came as factory default on a Sire M7. My other basses have TI Jazz flats and GHS Pressurewounds, which seem to be the best strings around. But I want a bass with rounds on, for less rocky songs and a church band. I had some Sunbeams previously, which were a bit “meh”. These Pure Blues, though, are lovely. They are smooth to the touch, like the pressurewounds, and give a beautiful tone - deep, mellow and resonant. I’m glad I tried them, and will stick with them on this bass.

Outstanding!
I've been using Rotosounds for years on all of my basses until I was encouraged to give these a go, they sound better as they wear as long as you keep them clean. Marshmallowy lows and candy floss highs, these strings are outstanding!

Great full sounding strings
First time I've tried these. They're the best strings I've tried. Great sounding. Hope they last longer than the ernie balls that were fitted previously.

Excellent
I expected them to be OK but they've really elevated the tone of my old Precision. And I'm rarely, if ever, impressed by a set of strings. I'll be sticking with these in future.

They sound good on my
They sound good on my ,62 Precision. Nice warm bottom with a pleasing, not too metallic, top end. I normally use flat-wounds - still have them on my other Precision - but these make a good alternative if a brighter sound is required.

Nice tone
I’ve used this brand for a few years. They have a nice tone and last a long time.

Muta di corde molto valida, suono brillante, qualità DR ottima

Ive used Ernie ball slinky’s , Dean Marley blue steel, all good when I put them on. But after a while of playing my fingers felt really sore and the strings rough. So after some research I tried these DR nickel strings and Wow what a difference in the feel. The lower strings feel really smooth and totally opposite. So far so good, but I think I found my strings of choice.

Consigliatissime.
