Review: Easy enough for a weekend and looks amazing - This stuff is great! We used the white to remodel an existing dated fireplace mantel with a cleaner more modern version. Once you get the hang of it the microcement is fairly easy to apply. My tip, add a bit more water than the formula and using a spray bottle to periodically wet the surfaces before applying helps a bunch. It has good working time but to get good finishes as a novice don't start by mixing a bunch. 4-5lbs was a pretty good amount for me. I used a mix of osb plywood and wood frame well primed and covered with fiberglass mesh. I was surprised by how well it adhered to the tile base. So far it's held up beautifully with no cracks. to Our dated fireplace now blends in and looks beautiful.

Easy to apply and looks good. Not too hard to work with but I do construction for a living, a lot of concrete and block. So if you’re a DIYer I’d experiment with plaster or dry wall mud first. Only giving 4 stars because I don’t know the longevity. Otherwise great product
