MidWest Homes for Pets Metal Dog Crate Replacement Pan; 36 inch

I have a husky mix who does well in his kennel, but he got overly excited and managed to crack the original plastic pan. This metal tray was the perfect replacement. The metal is thick and very sturdy, noticeably more durable than the original pan. While the edges aren’t rounded like the plastic version, they are smooth and not sharp, so there’s no concern about injury. It slid easily into our Midwest 36" kennel and fits perfectly. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the quality and durability.

Better than plastic, dog can't chew through this one.

Sturdy, good fit.

Nice and sturdy. Our dogs kept breaking the plastic trays in their kennels, we were worried they might get cut as well. This solves the issue.

This one is a perfect fit, I had ordered a plastic one but that one was too big. I loved this one so much I bought a second one for the other crate. I then bought a sticky backed chair mat carpet for office chairs, cut that in half and stuck into the pan. my dogs eat their beds so hopefully the carpet thing will stick and they won't chew on it. So weird how one plastic pan wore out and the other was just fine, this metal one should be indestructible. Mine wasn't dented at all the corners were protected in the box with extra cardboard corners, and there was a piece of styrofoam in the center to protect the box from crushing in. first came by UPS and the second from Amazon TBA, both were in perfect condition.

After my big husky mix treated his last plastic crate tray like an all-you-can-destroy buffet, I knew I needed something tougher. I picked up this Midwest metal replacement tray mostly to protect my wood floors and my sanity, and it has absolutely delivered. First impression was how solid it feels. This thing is not flimsy. It slides in securely and doesn’t flex or warp like the plastic one did. My dog gave it a cautious sniff, a couple of test stomps, and then accepted his fate within a day or two. There is a faint rumble when he settles down at night, especially if there is a thunderstorm and he is doing his dramatic husky repositioning routine, but it is minor and totally worth the tradeoff for durability. Most importantly, he adjusted quickly and actually seems to like it. No more chewing, no more shredded plastic, and my floors are safe from boredom fueled redecorating attempts. Cleanup is easy, the construction feels built for real dogs, and I no longer worry about coming home to chaos. If you have a strong, determined dog who thinks plastic is a hobby, this metal tray is a fantastic upgrade. Tough, practical, and husky approved.

i ordered the 42in because that’s the size of my cage. one of the corners was slightly dented just like the other reviews. it did not fit in the cage easily. we had to force it in from the long side instead of sliding it in from the pictures side. i’m not sure if it’s because we have a different brand cage OR because our cage is very old and really not in the best quality. which could be likely. the tray itself is 100% worth the money. my dog has yet to be able to chew it. and it keeps him cool in the summer time. easy clean up and such a good purchase for high chewing dogs with bad anxiety

This tray is much better than the plastic tray that came with the kennel. My dog was chewing the edges off the plastic tray which was making it difficult to remove. Nice product.

It’s a metal crate pan… fits in a standard 42” wire crate and I know my dog won’t randomly wake up early and decide to destroy the plastic pan again instead of chewing her toy. Overall I’m happy, and the price wasn’t outrageous.

This is awesome. Fits my crate much better than the flimsy plastic one I had before. Appears as promised and the dogs can't break it. Yay! Will be buying another one for my larger crate soon.

Excellent tray - good value for money.

My dog ate his plastic crate liner and then ate the bed that I put in to try to make him comfortable. He can’t eat this. It’s perfect.
