100Watt: I'm not kidding. This thing is really bright. What I like the most is the color of the light itself. When looking at lighting consider the color of the light ranges from 2600K to 7000K. 3000K or below will have a yellow look to it. 5000K and above starts looking Blue. For me the 4000K is the perfect color for a work area with it's mostly white/cream color. I use this in my garage in an area that has a 10 foot ceiling. For an 8 foot ceiling, it may be a little too much. Description says "High bay" but I am using it as a "Low bay" with added intensity. However these really are high bay lighting- especially as you get into the higher wattage versions. I would say that the 100 watt version would work even up to 16 feet with plenty of light. Relative to my 100 watt (really 100 watt - not "equivalent") ceiling bulb, this 100 watt LED is at least 3 times brighter. Just for fun I compared with 250 watt metal halide that we had at my work, and this bulb is as good or better at only 100 watts. The metal halide fixture came from a warehouse with a 40 foot ceiling so, for general lighting (not super bright task lighting) you can even use the 100 watt version of this for much higher ceilings*. * Local building codes may apply.

Bought these for my detached garage and am so pleased with the amount of light they provide. Definitely a satisfied customer and would not hesitate to recommend them to others!

These lights are a great addition to lighting up our new garage. REALLY LOVE the variable brightness adjustment they all have. NO shadows anywhere in the garage. Yes, we might have over done it installing as many as we did, but I really hate working in the shadows when working on things. Definitely recommend these LED lights.

Put 10 of these in 12’ ceiling 40 x 65’ shop and they are fantastic!!! They light up the world and are CHEAP to run. I also used their outside lights on 4 sides of my building. You can see the glow of my shop two ridges away. You will not be disappointed.

These are great lights and Hyperlite provides excellent service. They performed a free lighting simulation and helped me decide on the number and placement of lights. I went with 6 for a 24'x30' shop. On the high side, they are mounted at about 14' and on the low side at about 12'. It is like daylight in the shop. Very few shadows, even in the corners. Couldn't be happier.

My only really complaint with this light is the marketing. They have it listed(as of 03/19) as Daylight but also 4000K. It really is 4000K, i.e. soft white, while daylight is usually considered 5000K. Otherwise it is plenty bright. I also have a 150W version that's I'd steer you towards if only because in my shop that one was almost too bright while this one is just "bright". In a higher ceiling that one would provide a better light for a wider area. You get a sturdy light with a good length of cord. Said cord appears to have a waterproof connector that you could remove to shorten it and hard-wire but you'll have to work at it as I couldn't get it off in the 2 minutes that I tried. If for some reason you have this somewhere that you need a cool light be aware that this puts off a fair amount of heat off the bottom shortly after turning it on. That big heat sink is there for a reason.

Awesome light with dimmer

I bought two of these for my garage, and they work great. I bought one black and one white because I bought them at different times, and the pricing for white versus black forced me to buy the second one a different color. The 13,500 lumen output is perfect, I probably would not have wanted brighter ones. Be aware the dimming system is not conventional. You won’t find a 0-10 volt dimmer at the local hardware but they are easily available online. And you will need to pull in a low-voltage cable for the dimming signal. I installed a double outlet box so I would have room for a connector for the lv cable. (see photo)

Amazing performance! These are really nice lights and seem way better built than other brands. I’ve been impressed by all the other light fixtures that HyperLite makes. These are dimmable but require a special 1-10V dimmer.

I used 6 of these lights for a 30' x 40' workshop with 12' ceiling and they do a very good job of lighting the room, 4000k is a very pleasing light with no flicker and the cord allows me to reposition the lights if I reconfigure the room or machine placement
