Not perfect but does the job if you're careful
Covers whole of the ear but water can still get in. I pressed a flannel against the item while I washed my hair, this, for me, assured a fairly good seal. Not an ideal way to wash your hair but needs must and there isn’t much better on the market - so would still recommend.

No more dyed ears!
These covers are ideal for when colouring my hair so don’t end up with staining on them. Have also been helpful for keeping new piercings covered while washing hair to keep the shampoo away. Yes, water will get into them so if you’re looking for something to stop water entering your ears then this product isn’t it. But it’s perfect for what I wanted at a very reasonable price. This is my second purchase of them and had no issues with quality.

I have a trick!
These are not great but I dont think you will find anything better. I have a trick, which can sound excesive but it works for me. I put on some silicon earplugs, then I put on top these caps, and then I use a elastic band (the kind for braids, the small ones, which are quite elastic) and boom, all set up for baths and showers. With earplugs alone I found it quite annoying because they get too wet and begin to pop out, caps alone will do nothing and its elastic is not tight but also there's no way around the part of the ear that meets the face.. how you seal it there! Boom, elastic band aside helps a lot! (also with avoiding the cap moving, so you can wash your hair in a comfy way) Some water gets in the outter ear anyway, as plastic is not water proof and also seal is not perfect, but never inside, which at the end is the objective! The elastic bands bit, i have to say if you're like me and spend quite a LOoOoong time under the shower, then when you remove it, ear is a bit sore of the pressure of the band, but hey! is what it is!

Good idea, poor end product
So, the thought of a cover for my wife's ear to stop water getting in when showering due to a severe ear infection was put to us by my sons girlfriend. We found these on Amazon and thought wow this is just what we need so we ordered and waited for the delivery with great anticipation. Costs were low and delivery was fast and when tried on they fit nicely around the ear. Unfortunately this is where the positives end. If you want to keep water out of your ears this is not the product for you. These fill up with water as the seal or very much lack of, allows water into the protector which then begins to fill up like a water balloon. The waterproof part of the name is definitely misleadin unless you want to try and glue these things to the side of your head. We've ended up giving the other 98 to our daughter to use as shower caps for her dolls.

Work well and inexpensive.
I have hearing problems and usually have to have my ears checked and syringed out every three months and was told by a ENT doctor that using ear covers when showering would be beneficial . Having tried this product have found they do help and lengthens the time between visits and at £60 a time helps a lot. I have just ordered my second supply, they are simple to use and throw away after .

Poor fit & packaging
These are difficult to fit and completely cover my ears. There is always a small gap, so I am not sure how much water gets through it. Packaging leaves much to be desired - they are stuffed into a very small non-resealable flimsy cellophane bag and the contents spill out as it is opened. I consider them a temporary partial solution until I find a better product.

Perfect after ear operation or for ear infection
These have been a huge help, my son had ear surgery and was instructed to keep his ear dry for minimum of 2 weeks. These worked great, we used a small piece of first aid tape to secure the plastic at the front of the ear to ensure no water got in. The covering is baggy enough that you can pull some of it forward and secure it in front of where the elastic sits for extra protection, so no water gets under the elastic at the front of the ear.

Covers well and probably fits all sizes. I have small ears but these things can stretch plenty wide at the opening, yet I didn’t feel like they were loose even with their potential to be bigger. I got these to keep some new piercings dry and they’ve worked really well! Wouldn’t recommend for a bath though- not water tight when submerged.
