Indesit Washing Machine Door Interlock Switch. Genuine part number C00297327

Seems like this is a generic part that fits various makes and models. Used on an Indesit WIXE127 - works perfectly. NB: looks at first like it's wrong as the original is screwed in place and this has no screw holes. This one, however, snaps into place with two plastic lugs taking the place of the screws which are no longer needed.

Replaced the broken lock on my washing machine. Easy to install, cheap, and sorted the issue. Washer still going strong after 12 years!

Slightly different mounting but easy enough. You just need to drill a little hole and it fit no problem. Works like original. So far so good.

My washing machine is quite old, however, one day the locking light started flashing, so I googled ideas, I came across this part, for £8 I thought that it was “worth a shot” my partner installed the part and my washing machine has worked great since. Must admit I was relieved not to have to buy a new machine this time of year

On first examination of the switch and the washing machine the new part appears to be wrong, the original is held in by two torx head screws and the new part has nowhere for the screws to go! Instead there are two small plastic pegs but don’t worry it’s a perfect fit and simply clips into location with the pins locating in the holes in place of the two screws. Very easy less than 5 minutes to fit and the washing machine works again

At first I thought it was the incorrect part compared to the original. The alternate part I received was C00085194 but clips into position rather than screwed in like the original so doesn't need to be drilled like some others have done.
