If not a Must-Have, then a Must-Try
5 Stars on this product, but with an asterisk. While I think itโs a great buy and maybe even a must-buy as a full-on keyboard accompaniment plus cover to the S7+ (which is what I have), I think that this review would have been more complete if I couldโve also tinkered with the official Samsung-sold keyboard (which I didnโt) and then have written this review comparing one to the other. That said, this is an incredible value at $60 and worth purchasing if only to try it out. Youโll have a month (per Amazonโs return policy) to decide whether or not to return it if not satisfied. But, Iโm sure that youโll be happy with this purchase. Not only does it perform the way you would expect, but the official Samsung-sold keyboard is running about $150+ (as of this writing) at places like Amazon and Best Buy and Samsungโs own website. What I do like: o It does everything that a keyboard should do. o Love the backlit keyboard. And this is an extra feature that the official Samsung-sold keyboard does not have. BTW, thank goodness, though, for the video review on how to turn on the backlit keyboard. That had me stumped because I was just pressing Fn + A/S/D per the enclosed instructions. BUT, you need to press the light bulb key (to the left of the HOME key near the bottom right) first to turn on the lights. *facepalm* There are three illumination levels and the colors do pop. o I like how the keyboard is secured by magnets to the cover. In fact, if you hold up the tablet cover with the keyboard magnetically attached and have the keyboard dangle perpendicular to the ground, the keyboard does not fall to the ground. o Keyboard feels sturdy enough. It doesnโt flex nor does it seem like you can just break it in half. o Bluetooth connection is very strong. I could still operate the keyboard when standing 10โ away from the S7+ (although Iโm not sure why you would do that). o I like that this comes with a USB-C charging cord, although Iโm not sure how much juice it churns out. I posed this question on the Q&A forum but did not get a response. In any case, one can never have too many of these charging cords nowadays. o My S7+ does indeed fit snuggly into the cover case, so no issues with fitment. o When you close up the cover by closing the flap over the S-Pen, there are magnets to keep the flap in its closed position. Some things to note (and this is where the asterisk comes to play): o Keyboard came out of the box warped ever-so-slightly. It doesnโt affect my ability to type and to be productive. But, to my naked eye, you can oh-so-subtly make out a teensy-tiny curvature along the plane of the keyboard. Itโs not a deal-breaker for me, and I just chalk this up to this being a $60, made-in-China device. o I wished that there was some kind of shortcut (like a Fn+F12) that allows you to enter/exit DeX mode (or maybe there is and I just hadnโt found it when writing this reviewโฆ). There is a shortcut key on the official Samsung-sold keyboard. But, I donโt think this has that. So, I have to enter DeX the slow way โ by swiping down the notifications bar in the upper right of the tablet and then pressing DeX. I did also pose this question on the Q&A forum, but there werenโt any responses received. o I wished that, as with so many other Bluetooth devices, there was some kind of meter that could provide a sense of how much internal battery life was left before the keyboard โdiesโ. I did see in the Q&A section someone asking about battery life and that a respondent said that it provided 60 hours of typing time. But, it would be nice to have a meter of some kind show up somewhere. There is a small light that comes on when you plug in the USB-C charging cord though. But that just shows green when fully charged and red when itโs less than 100%. Maybe it wouldโve been nice if there were four colors to help the user gauge how much battery power was left (red/orange/yellow/green) or if remaining battery life info could be included within the Bluetooth info page (when entering the notifications bar by swiping the top of the tablet down) like how the Jabra products do it. o Regarding the magnetized flap, I do wish that the magnets were a little bit stronger. Now, admittedly, Iโve only had the keyboard for a few days and have only used it for a short period of time. Also, my S7+ is not my primary productivity tool. I do have a laptop, but I purchased the S7+ so that I could take it with me when on overnight trips (itโs smaller and lighter than the laptop). So, I am not a heavy user of the keyboard โ I primarily return emails or draft some basic correspondence. But in my short time with it, I can say: If you have an S7+, if this is not a must-have item, this is then a must-try item โฆ For me, I find it to be as critical as having a protective phone cover for your smartphone in addition to being an indispensable productivity tool. Time will tell whether this will continue to perform as well as it has out of the box. But thereโs no reason not to purchase this $60 product and to give it a go for the duration of the warranty period.

it's good
I bought a tablet and accompanying rig to support it hoping to shed some bulk compated to my laptop. With the tablet and keyboard it's almost as large and heavy, so I returned it all. The case and keyboard are both decently made and work exactly as advertised.

Great price and it looks great.
Bought this with very small expectations and I was honestly surprised. Yes, it has weak magnets as other people say in their reviews but it is still pretty good! You won't be able to put it upside down, but in a normal position, magnets hold well. The case is quite heavy but I really dig its style. The leather used in the case feels like it could start crackling within a month so I'll see how it goes. My only complaint is that the keyboard itself looks very slightly bent upwards (making a very slight "u" shape), however it doesn't seems to affect the magnet holding it so no complaints.

Okay for basic use but much worse than just using a laptop
Ended up returning it because I had to return my Galaxy Tab. I had wanted to use this keyboard/cover with the Galaxy Tab at work instead of my laptop. However, the keyboard didn't feel great to type on, and I frequently found myself hitting the wrong keys. Not sure if that was due to the smaller size of the keyboard compared to my laptop or if the layout was slightly off. The mouse trackpad also was not great. It worked okay for moving the cursor around the screen, but clicking was inconsistent and using it to scroll on a page was awful. Both the keyboard and the cover easily get smudges on them. As for positives, the customizable backlight was nice, the magnet that holds the keyboard in place is fairly convenient, and having a trackpad at all is a bonus. However, the downsides of this product can't even be justified by its "low" price because it's double the cost of many other options on Amazon. Never used the Samsung one, but I suppose it's $100 for a reason. My Galaxy Tab was returned for a defect on the screen, but I was not disappointed about having to return this keyboard/cover as well. It's a good enough choice if you want to type or use a mouse cursor on screen occasionally, but it a far inferior experience to using the keyboard and trackpad on even a very cheap laptop.

Great keyboard
I was having trouble deciding what keyboard to buy for my Samsung tablet and finally landed on this one. I've now used it enough and decided it works well for my needs. However I do have large hands and it is somewhat difficult to use. Still works great though. Attaches quickly to the table and all the keys works great. Battery is very adequate for my needs. I recommend.

READ THIS | DEADZONES
I'm going to get straight to the point. The hundreds of 5 star reviews are for a different product and are misleading. The case has magnets that are used to latch it in place, however the magnets interfere with the screen itself and create massive dead zones where you are unable to write on the screen. However, if you don't care about using it for writing, the case might actually be worth it, as it feels pretty decent and hasn't had any tears so far. However it is somewhat a pain to get out of the case, and once again THE MAGNETS INTERFERE WITH THE SCREEN. I have no clue how they manufactured this without just testing the tablets with the case on. The keyboard it comes with is very cheap looking, but gets the job done, the trackpad lowkey gets in the way, but it has backlighting and feels pretty alright to type on. The battery life doesn't seem like anything to write home about. The keyboard can connect to multiple different devices via using the hotkeys (if you forget thes key's themself have a symbol that tell you what they do when you press them while holding down the function keys.) The product itself seems to be whitelisted and doesn't have any branding on the box and is shipped from china. TLDR: ABSOLUTELY do not buy if you plan to write using the pen as the magnets create deadzones. Otherwise it could be a good deal. Further Note : This is not a tablet problem; other buyers have said that it does the same thing, and there is no deadzones when you remove the tablet from the case, furthemore using a piece of metal I was able to locate where the magnets are placed and they line up with the deadzones that they create.

Very Nice Combo
I cruise a lot and do IT support and programming and was tired of bringing my laptop. I coupled this case with a Galaxy Tab S8+ and am very happy with it. It is attractive, compact and functional. I use a compact Microsoft Arc Mouse, so I don't use the trackpad often. The case is nice when I want to use the tablet as a laptop (with Teamviewer), but too bulky for when I want to use the tablet as a tablet. When I want to just read or edit photos I slip the tablet into a Zuslab Transparent Case Compatible with Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ and up on deck. My only dislike is that the backlight goes off after 10 seconds and doesn't come back on until you actually enter a key stroke.

Piece of crappy unless waste of time and money
3rd time I've tried to write the review and take pics. Not one function of this product is even satisfactory. Problems with magnetic, flimsy case, keyboard key issues with caps etc, keyboard small cheap and tacky. Its a mismatch of some non tech savvy idiot and I'm a 64yo woman and. Its only getting 1 star becausecI can't give less. I'm disabled and very hard to get these kinds of things. Then have to return them. 4th return in 3 weeks yet to reach the actual post office because I'm in too much pain to repack etc. Can't take pics today and whole review disappears. So yep its quadruple crappy x 3 Don't buy it just in case because that's what I did. Must be cheat review numbers.
