Fast food at home
Just as good as 53 years ago when mom first taught me how to make ramen for myself. Super fast to make in my Itaki Shabuki (like a hot pot) in under 10 min from boiling water to stirring in dried noodles. Helps my TMJ pain and no conflict with making mom’s meals. Good quality a step up from dime store brands, good value for the money and super easy to make. Processed ingredients but I don’t eat these daily. I’ve subscribed to a package of 5 per month for under $6 wow

Terrific.
I’ve been eating packaged ramen for a long time. I grew to love it. I had to fix it up a bit but that’s ok, even on its own it’s pretty good. I kinda like to boil it dry so it’s not a soup. I add things like peas and carrots or corn or broccoli. This time, I crunched them up little and I added egg and some pork potsticker dumplings with nanami spice. Sapporo makes some great tasting ramen. It really sings like this. The salty chicken flavor mixed with nanami spice is terrific. This ramen is A+.

Actually better!
I just add my voice to those saying these are better than less expensive packaged noodles. Not that they are particularly expensive. It seems to come down to the broth mix. The Ichiban has a surprisingly rich and silky broth. So good that it makes a meal. Kinda like a good can of soup. I often add a couple eggs and that’s a hearty meal! Chicken flavor seems the winner and I can’t distinguish any particular difference in the noodles. It’s the broth that changes everything! The broader conclusion is that it is really worth trying different brands to find your optimum. Noodles are important! Hint: I make chicken stew and freeze it in an ice cube tray. I drop one or two cubes into the soup. This adds meat and cools the boiling broth to just right. This also gives the option of adding some cross-cultural spices to outcome. I make my stew with Mexican spices and adding this to the Ichiban is tasty to me.

Good noodles, mediocre broth
The broth has a slightly chemically aftertaste? Sort of like licking straight MSG powder. Goes for both the chicken and the original/soy sauce varieties. But these are by far the best noodles of any instant ramen. They're firmer than maruchan or top ramen, less slippery than nongshim, and have a nice flavor.

My favorite ever
My favorite ramen ever. I wish they would also sell the instant cups!

Average ramen at an above average price
The ramen broth was tasty and light, but I still prefer another grocery store brand that is a fraction of the price. I just expected something more premium given the price, and I didn’t find a reason to spend 4-5x the money on this brand.

my TOP ramen of choice
my favorite ramen I used to only be able to get at asian stores or single packets for over a dollar at big grocers. idk why but it just tastes different maybe the broth is more flavorful than the big brands, warms you up, is a fast meal to make even with just a hot pot in your room and it's a bargain on Amazon. I love having it around for lazy days .
