Great scratcher
My cats love it. It seems to have help keep them from scratching doors/doorways.

Fantastic product, very pleased!
I have 4 cats. One cat is enamoured with the spot where the kitchen tile transitions to the hall carpet. I have tried all the tricks -- sprays, foil, runs, cat trees . . . nothing worked. Finally gave this mat a try and pleased to say, it's a win! It wasn't large enough to cover the entire spot that she has been working on, but it does cover the majority of the doorway. I put a cat tree on one side so that the mat couldn't be moved. The mat is solid enough that she can't bend up one corner or side like should could with a rug or foil. She doesn't scratch it a lot, but it does get worked on by the younger cats and has held up well. She does use it to lounge on, which is interesting since that was a spot she never relaxed but was always working over her claws! Visually it's not fantastic but what do you expect for something that was intended to be scratched! Very pleased with the product and have already recommended it to several friends.

The best scratch product I've found, but you have to use velcro to get it to hold on the carpet.
This is a wonderful product and a huge relief, as I've been trying to find some form of scratching product that works to maintain their claws, holds their interest, doesn't take up too much space and doesn't fall apart since 1997. It's extremely durable and well made, with a siscal mat they love to dig into and try to tear apart (to no avail), and a canvas border which holds it together sturdily. It's also big enough for them to roll around on and take naps on. They especially love to do these things after I put cat nip on it. I previously bought cardboard ones, that are destroyed in 3 days and leave little pieces all over; carpeted posts which they love for a few days but then ignore; and a smaller siscal mat, which was ok, but they couldn't get a good scratch in. The only thing that brings it down one star is that the description said the bottom surface would hold to the carpet and not slide and it doesn't even remotely do that. I solved the problem by affixing velcro squares all around the periphery and sticking it to the carpet. With that done, it's perfect and my babies are in heaven.

Excellent product, good price
I was afraid to buy this especially at this price. Things just aren't being made worth the price. This however is. Excellent sisal & canvas cording material. Very well made as well. I was actually shocked. Sisal is thick, fresh & well woven. Almost too tight, but it will soften a little over time. My cat loves it. Since she's not quite able to do a good scratching yet (occasionally) she will sit on it letting me know "No, this is mine, don't move it! I'll break it in." I'll eventually hang it on a door so she can "do" her nails & stretch. I definitely recommend!

Good quality, just need to get my cats to use
I bought this as posts are often unstable. I have not convinced my cats to use it, though. They are more interested on sitting on it. I will try adding a rug mat so it doesn't slide on my hardwood or place on top of the rug they like to scratch. Good quality. Ended up buying a post. I offered canned cat food if they climbed it, so they are using that.

Perfect
My cat doesn't like hanging scratchers go this is on the floor secured with a chair leg. As soon as it was down, she claimed it as hers, gave it a thorough test drive and then laid on it for half an hour. Every time she passes by it there is another round of testing. I like the slightly bigger size. Well made. 4 stars for the value only because everything is too costly in today's world. Very satisfied with the purchase and so is my cat!

Having second thoughts
Bought one of these, watched my little one dive into it vs the furniture and immediately ordered a second one. These are great! 2.19 UPDATE: I got down on my hands and knees to eyeball one of these just now (about three weeks after purchasing.) Thin fibers that I can barely see are starting to sprout up. Some quite long. Now Iโm concerned they might end up in my catโs mouth and throat. I trimmed as much of them as I could with sissors. Hereโs a photo showing two of the fibers. Will monitor closely.

A solution to a plastic-eating cat
I had a nice enough rug in front of my cat's litter box, but my cat likes to eat plastic. She would flip it over and eat the rubber backing. She also is a furniture scratcher but is terrified by every scratching post I have tried, so I thought - sisal - rug - why not? Well, she is not eating it. It's a great rug, comfortable to stand on. The only flaw in my genius idea is she is not using it to scratch.

tidy way to let ur cat scratch out his aggressions
cat loves it. lasts a long time compared to other scratching posts, and is neat & tidy because it hangs on the door and doesnt clutter up ur floor. usually need to replace every 6 months.

Decent product, but
The product look decent albit on the smaller size compared to an adult cats size. Cat still prefer the couch! Unfortunately

Cat hates it, but she's stopped scratching the wall, so...
Its the only small sisal mat i could find. I removed the loop for hanging it and velcro'd it to the corner a wall she's been scratching. The cat is not interested in it but she's stopped scratching and it doesn't look that bad so it's a meh overall. I'll spray it with catnip essence and see if she goes for it
