Works great for programming NFC tags

This works! I have tried other readers that were not as cooperative. I use nfctoolsgui to interface with the reader on my computer. Works great.

This is an upgraded version of the ACR-122U. It has a USB-C connector instead of USB-A. Works well.

Bought this to read the Italian Carta di Identitá Elettronica (CIE card), which it does. Windows 10 recognized it; no need to find or load drivers.

Das erste Gerät was sowohl an einem Windows PC als auch an einem MacBook zuverlässig meine RFID keys ausliest, hier im besonderen die Mennekes LadeKeys.

I tested this NFC reader with Linux and it works really well for reading NFC cards and tags. The device is plug and play and integrates smoothly with Linux systems using standard NFC libraries. However, the main limitation is that write functionality is not available on Linux. The hardware supports writing on Windows and macOS, but Linux support is limited to read only operations. If you're on Linux and need to write to NFC tags, this won't work for that purpose. For read only use cases on Linux, this is a solid and reliable reader at a good price. Build quality is decent and it's durable. Just be aware of the Linux write limitation before purchasing if that's important for your use case.

Works as intended!

Very low power output. Website claims to have software drivers but they don't work properly. Even youtube videos published by the manufacturer show constant errors with the company's own engineering barely able to make the system function.

Erstmal, ja der Leser funktioniert mit der Ausweis2-App für MacOS. Ich habe das mit dem Personalausweis und meiner Krankenkassenkarte ausprobiert. Also alles was ich damit machen möchte geht. Aber: Der Leser ist NICHT in der Liste der offiziell unterstützten Geräte, sondern in der Kategorie "Should work". Gut, das ist vielleicht nur Kosmetik und vielleicht auch am PC anders, aber hier und jetzt gibt es halt keinen offiziellen Support für das Gerät unter MacOS 26 Gut, das ist andererseits auch kein Show-Stopper. Wenn man sich mit der Ausweis2-App anmeldet um z.B. bei BundID einen Account anzulegen, funktioniert das zumindest bei mir ohne Probleme. Hätte ich vorher gewußt dass der USB-Leser nicht in der Liste der unterstützen Geräte ist, hätte ich einen anderen gekauft. Ich wollte was kompatibles und nicht den billigsten, der zu kriegen ist. Und der billigste war es auch nicht. Man kann Treiber im Internet finden und installieren, die ändern aber nichts am Feedback der Anwendung - siehe Screenshot. Ich glaube das installieren der Treiber ist nicht zwingend nötig, damit der Leser erkannt wird. Weil alles trotzdem funktioniert ist das oben genannte zwar ein Luxusproblem aber daher auch nur 4 von 5 Sternen. Es kann sein, dass es am PC kein Problem ist. Das ist mir jedoch wurscht.
