This worked with our original bought door bell and really worked well. Minimal set up required and it connected straight way. The image is really clear and works excellent at night.

Great doorbell when it’s finally up and running but I’ll will pre warn you all it’s does NOT STORE video on to any storage card whatsoever- 128gb so please don’t waste your money by purchasing a storage card as I’ve done so much research and putting a storage card in does absolutely nothing whatsoever and then when you put the storage card in it will say 117 GB left so what else is it using it ON ! We do not understand ! We’ve tried worked it out for ages, if you’re going into the chime section it’s got all the normal nice chimes stored anyway! so what is the storage card actually doing? It’s not storing any videos whatsoever so a complete waste of time. PLEASE don’t waste your money on a STORAGE card. Just use it as a normal doorbell it’ll be perfectly fine and works fine ! Just adjust the volume as you need thank you for reading.

All Eufy products are good quality. Door chime was easy to set up. It chimes almost instantly the Eufy door bell is pressed. This was my objective because alerts/chimes on my iPhone experience a delay and the delivery man goes before I get to the door. The delay is c caused by the WiFi system.

I’ve delayed my review of this doorbell because of a software problem that’s seems to be being ignored. This chime works fine as a chime and the E340 door-cam itself is fine but the problem is this unit, although you can put a SD card in it, it does not record any video what-so ever from the doorbell. Some reviews will say it does but what your actually seeing is video coming from the doorbell itself and not from the microSD card in the chime. The manufacturers support was quick in getting back to me about this and they sent instruction on how to get the video storage working. Apparently if I’m reading it right although the doorbell camera in linked to the chime you also have to link the chime to the doorbell. Never heard anything like it in having to make a two way link over a digital stream. Some say there’s an update coming in early 2025 to fix this but pigs can fly and until then don’t think this chime will hold or store video from a E340 unless of course my chime is faulty and I don’t think it is. Just an update and to add full marks for the Eufy MiniChime. As noted above I’ve had the chime since last November and have never been able to get the doorcam record to the chime, that is until today. The microSD card I had formatted in the chime was a Samsugm Evo Plus card and read today that that card does not wotk with some security cameras. I don’t know if that was the problem but also the procedure for linking the chimes SD recorder to the door-cam is confusing but found this procedure online… Go to the device tab in the Eufy app, select the “…” in the corner of the camera image, select the “cog gear”, then ignore the HomeBase Connection Icon, this is where I went wrong, now select “General” then select “Wi-Fi Connection” then finally select “Connect to HomeBase”. Your chime should now be recording inside your home and not outside in the doorcam but be warned, if you previously recorded to the doorcam and change the chime all the recordings in the doorcam will be araised. While on I would also like to thank Eufy support who contacted myself soon after my review to help but managed to get by before they could get back to me with a fix but thanks all the same. Happy to give 5 stars now.

Easy to integrate and set up via the Eufy App with the S380 Hub. It provides a loud chime when the E340 doorbell is activated. Video is stored locally in the S380 Hub HDD or a Micro SD card in the Chime (mini hub) itself. No subscriptions to pay.

Absolute rubbish item. It WILL NOT connect to my wifi. I spent a whole afternoon trying to get this minibase chime to connect to my wifi. I tried resetting the chime, connecting to temporary wifi setups, tried to setup/connect on two separate phones etc. Absolutely nothing worked. Eufy really do need to address why this chime won't connect to wifi. There appear to be many people with the same problem. Eufy are doing themselves no favours in marketing a chime that clearly has wifi connection bugs. Sending mine back for a refund.

Good as a chime or to record to IF you don't want to record 24/7. Bought and paired with a C31 doorbell, but assumed I could use to store 24/7 footage on. It works as storage for detection/ring events(paired with an SD card) if you do not use this option, but 24/7 will only record to internal SD card of the doorbell if no HomeBase is present.
