I purchased this Victron 75/10 MPPT charge controller to charge a SLA battery via a small 100w solar panel. It appears to do the job well. Much better than my cheap PWM controller i was using prior to this. I love the fact this controller is Bluetooth, the Victron app is excellent and shows you the information you want to know, ie watts going in and amps. The SOC is very inaccurate but you are never going to be able to read an accurate SOC without a shunt. The app also informs you of your solar yield, i find this especially helpful. There are much cheaper charge controllers out there but victron is one of the best and the added functions make the price a little bit more worth it for me. Build quality wise it is excellent - there is no heat sink on this controller as it is the lowest voltage they do, therefore it makes it nice and compact to hide away out of sight. The bluetooth range is ok if you are in the same room, but leave the room the controller is in and i could not get a connection. I have a much bigger solar setup with lifepo4 batteries, which i use a different brand of charge controller for, i would love to upgrade this to a victron, but the price is just too expensive at the moment for higher Volts/Amperage Victron controllers. This is a great controller. The Bluetooth option is worth having as it gives so much information about the charge process. It did updates to the firmware when it was installed too. So far it has worked well. I had a non brand mppt controller previously and the improvement I'm terms of harvesting power is significant. Very happy as it is running my pond pump from solar and battery.

Purchased to replace a chea and horrible PWM controller that was originally bundled with an equally cheap 30W panel. I've since fitted a 100W panel to my caravan, whihc the cheap controller was failing to extract the best from. As I intend going off grid a little more, I'm going to fit a second 100W panel and seeing this quality brand item for a very attractive price, I ordered it. Installation is simple, hardest part is finding a suitable location! Easy to wire up and connect with Bluetooth. I've only had the chance to do some simple tests with the caravan in storage in miserable spring weather with continual rain and heavily overcast skys - but even in these rubbish cconditions, I have been able to see a few amps and a charge being put into the battery. Next real test will be with a second panel when we are away, but based on results so far I'm optimistic. Overall, a very well made, professional quality product from a brand name that is doing exactly what I hoped for.

Great solar charger. I bought it along with a 100w solar panel to keep the starter battery charged up on my motorhome. I love bluetooth facility, the fact I can see how much life is in my battery & how much power the solar panel is pumping in to it. I would definitely reccomend it.

The item is well made and easy to fit....BUT....bluetooth connectivity fails when attempting to pair the device with my iPhone or Macbook Pro computer, so I am unable to monitor it', and the solar panels, performance. I have therefor given 3 stars for "easy to install" as installation was impossible to complete. This seems to be a common fault judging by the number of people who have been as unsuccessful as me when trying to pair the device. The advice is to refer to the pairing instructions but despitefollowing instructions to the letter it does not work. The connection, like many other folks, fails at 80%. There appear to be no solutions. I therefor cannot recommend this device. What I would recommend is buy the item without bluetooth (Victron BlueSolar)....it is cheaper.
