I really liked the adjustability of the hook so that the door fits snug and does not rattle in the wind. My only advice is to be careful with the screws. I am used to working with stainless steel screws and was surprised with how soft and brittle (cheap) these screws are in comparison. The head can strip easily and I even snapped the first one off because I did not have the torque set correctly on my driver. My bad.

I would give Minus Stars if possible. This is a totally worthless item. DO NOT BUY! I rec'd my first one 3 days ago and one end of the threads was so badly buggered it would not fit the connector. I tried everything. Files, tap & die& prayer. Nothing worked. So I ordered a return & replacement. The 2nd one arrived last night. It, too, was totally non functional--badly buggered threads. I wasted an hour this morning trying to rethread it with my metric tap and die set. No luck. It's completly worthless. ZERO QUALITY CONTROL from this Vietnam seller. The concept is great and I dearly wanted it to work. But I've invested too much time already with no luck so time to move on with Plan B. These worthless items are SO FRUSTRATING!!!

This is great but don't try to use the screws that come with. They are soft and strip out.

The concept of this product is excellent. It can be used in 180-degree positions, 90-degree positions, and even in other intermediate angles, which makes it very versatile. The design and overall idea are very good. However, the issue is with the product’s construction. It arrived with damaged threads, both on the nut and on the bolt/screw. The threading on both parts was faulty, making it very difficult to insert. After finally managing to thread it, it would not go all the way in, so I couldn’t achieve the minimum distance I needed. On the opposite side, a similar issue occurs: it threads well at first, but once it reaches the end, it no longer threads. In conclusion, this is not a design problem but a manufacturing quality issue. The concept is great, but the execution needs improvement.

Nice little nuisance latch, keeps the big latch from being unhooked from outside.

A lot more lightweight than it appears in the photos. Not sure how long this will last on our heavy gate.
