Phyllostachys Rubromarginata, Red Margin Bamboo #1 Size Live Plant

Ordering life plants is always a risk, but whoever packed the (3) that I ordered, did so with great care, ensuring that not even a single leaf was broken. Thank you! I did carefully unwrap them, planted them in bigger pots with a bit of fertilizer and they look great. They will soon go to their permanent home to thrive and turn hopefully into a forest. The description says that the purchased plants will be 1 year, approx. 1-2' tall, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that (2) were older than that. Time will tell if this type of bamboo will grow well at my property, Zone 8, but supposedly it should do well in Zones 6-10 with 6 years to establishment.

I would recommend this seller. The order came during winter and was in perfect condition. My bamboo plant sprouted new shoots within 30 days of its arrival.

Great price relative to other places to buy bamboo online. Arrived nicely packed and well protected. A little ill from travel, but that is to be expected when ordering online plants, and they bounce right back with water and sunlight. What I didn't like was that the canes were all growing horizontally out of the rootball and then curving upwards. Because I am planning to plant a screen of timber bamboo, I need all of the canes to be upright. I bought this as a trial. I will probably try a few other places and may give them another try.

the florida soil is not conducive to this plant. It arrived in good shape and with directions but the soil just does not support bamboo.

I ordered River Cane and Red Margin from Maya Gardens, #1 size. The plants were secured with tie-downs to prevent them being jostled or flattened if handled upside-down. Packaging was well done. Nice, robust culms, beautiful leaves, and nicely wrapped rootballs. The culms were much taller than I expected. Worth every penny. I am so impressed and happy with my order I had to write this review. Everything about my order was top-notch, from packaging to the actual plants. From now on, Maya Gardens will be my bamboo and maple provider.

My bamboo arrived in timely manner. It was very healthy, about one and one half feet tall. I planted it the day after it arrived. It has been in the ground for a week and is putting on fresh growth. If it does well here I will definitely order some more next year, as I have need of it and am very pleased with the company and its product. FYI I live in Austin Texas.
