I purchased them because I lost the ones I got at the eye doctor’s office for $95.00! In every way but one, these glasses are every bit as good as the more expensive ones, and that one way in which they are not the same is a good way...they fit better, more snugly than the more expensive glasses! Now, for anyone with a larger than average head, this may be bad news, but I think there is enough give in them to accommodate all head except for the largest. For those of you who haven’t tried this color of sunglasses, the gray ones merely make it darker for you and in this way make things more visually comfortable. The colors of these glasses, however, doesn’t darken so much as they filter out the bands of light that make it difficult to see on a sunny day. For someone like myself who is photosensitive... hypersensitive to the normal light rays for various reasons...this is very important because I can use them on a partially gray day and not have the acuity of my vision cut down. What you see through these glasses, this color, is sharper than what you see through the typical sunglasses. They also provide great filtering through the sides of the glasses because of the excellent wraparound design, and they fit perfectly over my regular glasses which are a bit larger than average size. As I said, I can’t say enough about them, and it is money well spent to get them in every way. You absolutely will not be disappointed. P.S. I am in my 70's, and driving at night had become so unpleasant I had begun avoiding going out after dark if I had to drive. But these are so effective; the glare from oncoming vehicles is practically non-existent, but the lenses aren't so dark that they make feel as if I'm blindfolded. A friend bought a different pair of glare reducing wraparounds and didn't find them at all helpful. I have tried I don't know how many sunglasses and have never been happy with any of them. For the first time I'm a happy camper.
