It is used to power 8 hd-sdi sec. cams. It seems to work well, but there are a few concerns that I have about the product. When the cams infrared sensors turn on at night, which normally would cause an increase in amperage required, I notice that the adapter gets really hot. I checked the temp with an infrared thermometer and measured between 90 and 120 degrees of which I thought was somewhat high. Now of course in the daytime it goes down to about 80-90 degrees. Now right before writing this review, before the infrared turn on the adapter completely shut down, the red power led went off and my screen went blank showing video loss. I am hoping that it last and I won't have to replace it soon. So I can only rate it 3 stars for now.
