Short version: Love this gate. Easy to install. Sturdy. 30" inch height is great to keep my corgi safe. Latch is easy to use. I paired with some wall grips to avoid marking. The "hold open" feature works great. Fits 32" doorway without any issues. Long version: I recently adopted a new dog and wanted to install a gate into my living room, there are lots of plants, and I didn't want him getting into trouble if I wasn't around. My parents had an extra gate lying around; upon installation I ran into a problem- with no extenders, the tension bolts had to be extended so far out it was wobbly. Adding an extender made it too big to even fit in the doorway. My home is an older historic home and the doorway I am placing it measures right at 32"- pretty standard. My friend also had an extra gate- same thing happened! I did a deep dive through Amazon looking at gates and saw several gates that had a caveat they would not fit certain sizes despite the range in the product listing. Read things carefully! I bought this gate specifically for the listed range 29.1-33.8 and it fits perfectly. Feels sturdy and well made, great value for the price.

I needed dog gates to segment my home to minimize areas to monitor for dog mess during the housebreak phase of my Toy Fox Terrier Rocky (pictured). Local pet stores were a joke...they all wanted $100+ for even the most minimalistic gate, and many were just not-so-cheap, but "cheap" plastic. Some were wood. I found this mostly metal gate on Amazon and risked buying two for less cost than single instances of other gates. The features its ad documents are absolutely true. There is no assembly required except to slide four width adjusting screw pads into four holes...top and bottom left and right. Hand tightening is all that is required to install in a doorway, though a level to ensure that the gate is plumb should guarantee a proper auto-closure. The gate does remain open when opened to somewhat less than 90 degrees (pictured) and does swing shut automatically at lower angles. This gate is a must-buy steal!! There are four additional plastic caps that can be screwed to the door frame to keep the pressure pads from slipping. They recommend their use at stair tops, but I found they can help one enamel-painted door frames, as an accidental kick to the gate in passing can dislodge it without them. The multi-step opening procedure (slide handle, lift door, swing open) is easier than it sounds, and may outsmart the most ingenious child, and definitely my dog! This gate is inexpensive in comparison, very sturdy, and fits a range of common-width doorways without the need for the additional optional extensions. July 24, 2024 Customer Service update... One of the multiple gates I ordered was received with a small defect. One thumb wheel used to tighten one of the four corners during installation was cracked and spun around the nut it contained. I requested the small replacement part. For whatever reason, the company was unable to send just the broken part, so they shipped an entire replacement gate without the need to return the original. Now that is a company that stands behind their product!! So, I now effectively have my own set of replacement parts should anything else go wrong with my gates. Thanks, Topek, Inc.

Used this to keep the dogs in while having the front door open. Works awesome and so easy to use with the gate. The dogs stay in and are not able to jump over. It fits perfectly and is really sturdy and gate swings back and forth and is easy to use.

Easy install, seems very sturdy. 36" seems to be perfect for my 40lb staffy that can clear smaller gates. The gate operates easily and I like that it can be propped open when we want the space accessible. I would have given it 5 stars but the blemish on the top of the gate in the plastic seems to be a common issue with the white gates.

Perfect gate to keep my dog out of our family room so he doesn’t pee on the rug. They’re easy to walk through the swings both direction they’re easy to put up and it’s very chic looking.

OK, let me just say I was a little worried by some of the negative reviews initially. However, so far this gate is a gem. We have a one year old that is crawling and walking. The gate is super easy to install and setup. We picked up 2 gates that were installed in open doorways on either end of the living room. We love the auto close feature and the fact that it will stay open once placed at a 90 degree open angle. We use the stay open feature at night and close them when baby is playing in living room during the day. The gates are installed inside wood door casing and then we tightened them up as instructed and it super strong by itself. If we need more support in the future - the gate comes with bases that use a screw to hold bases in place to door frame and then we could loosen gate and place the ends of each corner inside these bases. Again so far so good. I will update in a few months. 1 Year update: Both gates are fully operational and no issues. We were concerned that the way the gates slam shut sometimes that the baby's hand might get caught. However, there is enough spacing in between bars that this was never the case. The gate has not shifted from where we mounted it originally. No complaints so far. I would recommend these units to anyone.

Being totally honest, I took it out of the box months ago. It was very sturdy. That’s why I gave it five stars. Well, today, I put two of them up one of my laundry room one of my master bedroom Keep My puppy out of both rooms for now They are super sturdy literally took five minutes to install. I would highly highly recommend them. Do not cut off the plastic band on the door guard until it is installed Make sure the top lock button is properly set before you cut the plastic guard off Would definitely buy again Tightness right into the side walls very very secure

I really like these gates for my dogs. It keeps them in a certain area. It really really works good I really like it. I bought two of them.

EL material es muy bueno, su apariencia neutra combina con casi cualquier decoracion, tiene el tamaño perfecto para bloquear el espacio, tanto a los lados como en altura. La separacion entre barrotes impide el paso incluso de cachorros pequeños o bebes, al mismo tiempo que no pueden atorarse. Si sigues las instrucciones, se instala en minutos sin ninguna dificultad. El unico detalle que haria notar (tambien señalado por otros usuarios), es que se atora contra la pared mediante un tornillo largo. Entre mas alargues el tornillo, mas inestable quedara. Para que quede realmente firme, hay que colocarle un par de piezas de Jenga para que hagan presion. Lei esa solucion en otra reseña, y es cierto. Lo que me llama la atencion es que parece ser un detalle muy comun, al grado que otros fabricantes venden pequeños bloques o cuadros para realizar dicha funcion de mantener el tornillo en su lugar. Siendo asi, a estas alturas esta puerta ya deberia incluirlos en el paquete, o bien ya deberian haber actualizado el diseño para no tener que extender en exceso el tornillo. Fuera de eso, todo perfecto.

El tamaño es ideal, en verdad queda muy firme, la compre para evitar que dos perros pasaran de un area a otra y cumple totalmente este objetivo, de buen material y calidad, fácil de instalar.

Very good quality and solid metal. No screws or tools require. Anyone can install it with easy instructions. Easy to open on both directions. can fix it on either left or right side of the door. I was able to fix it between the standard kitchen door. Keeps my big dog away and he can't knock it down or open. Easily change the height by loosening the 4 side supports. I would definitely recommend it. This gate comes in different sizes and adjustable so I would recommend that you measure the width first and then order.
