It’s a very complete lamp with many different options and adds for my life; I wanted to try just because the winter is coming and I was reading a lot about the help the light lamp could get me as I get a little down because no sunlight in this part of the north. It’s amazing lamp; not only has solved my problem for the morning light and during the day, also now I have an alarm that is super smart as it wakes me up with the light gradually at the same time in a kind way, is gradually turning the light brighter as my time to wake up is coming, and I was shock when I was suddenly woke up more naturally and less grumpy. Also I didn’t know but it has many different options for the color of light as used as lamp during the day or night time. One more plus it has many different sounds to help you to sleep like white noise and rain; very nice surprise to me! Amazing, now I gradually start to sleep better since I’ve stopped using my phone for alarm and also I’m gradually started to waking up more naturally and slowly thanks to this light lamp. The easiest thing was start to use it, just unpacked it and plug it, it has a battery as well; you can use it either way. And is very easy to use it and figure it out the buttons; but obviously it comes with a manual that is very easy to read and follow. No need to re-read after because the lamp is very easy to use and set up. Not need assembly or anything like that. Or extra batteries to start.

Update (original review below): the seller reached out and sent a new one to me. 10/10 customer service. Super nice and very responsive. Seems like the stuck button is what cause the issues. The new one arrived and it works perfectly!!! The sun light is very bright and helps me with my winter blues. The colors on the clock side are very soothing and calms me down for sleep. 10/10 would buy again Original review: Arrived broken and not working. The screen does not respond to touch and the buttons on rim do not react to pressing. I couldnt even change the clock time. One of the alarm buttons on the back is stuck down. I had high hopes for this light/alarm clock but right now just very disappointed.

Works great! Just wish there was a battery-powered option

The sunrise feature is my favorite—you can program the light to gradually turn on before your alarm, starting with a warm yellow and slowly shifting to a bright white. It feels so much more natural than being jolted awake by a loud alarm. By the time the actual alarm goes off, you’re already half awake, which makes mornings a lot easier. I also really appreciate the sleep features. If you’re struggling to fall asleep, you can play sounds like waves or rain with a timer, which is incredibly calming.

OVERVIEW: - If you want a sunrise alarm clock that gently illuminates the wall, has fun colors on the front, and that doesn't take up too much space on your nightstand, get the Ricial. - If you want an easier-to-use alarm clock that will wake you up with light, get a different sunrise alarm clock that illuminates from the front. - If you want to do light therapy, get a real light therapy lamp. This Ricial light is likely too dim to be very effective for light therapy. DETAILED COMPARISONS: I compared this Ricial alarm clock against the Philips Wake-Up Light and the HappyLight Touch Plus light therapy lamp. RICIAL VS. PHILIPS WAKE-UP LIGHT: - "Sunrise": The Ricial emits light from the back of the device, illuminating the wall rather than your face. If you want your face to be illuminated in the morning, you have to turn the Ricial clock around before bed, but then you can’t see the time. The Philips emits light from the front of the device, so I find it more effective at waking me up because the light shines closer to my face. - Front colors: Ricial has multiple options, while the Philips just goes from orange to white as it gets brighter. - Sounds: Both have background noise sound options. So many options. I got this one to help simulate the sun rising during winter months. However, I love it too help fall asleep, the cricket noise turned down low, with the ambient colored lighting, feels like a summer night in my room. The windchines are the perfect sound to wake up to. Without realizing it, I was using it as an evening light, and it is placed in front of a plant I've had for years. I've struggled to keep the plant healthy, but I think it's healthier than it's ever been... it's gotta be the light! My kid went and bought a different one shortly after I purchased mine. She isn't as happy with hers, and is actually going to purchase this one. My only complaints are the touch response on the buttons isn't very sensitive, it only works if plugged in, and the lumens side is on the back side, so I have to turn it around every night. Nothing too much of a con, but enough that I have it 4 stars.

lovely light at bedroom! The light color is so great, I was always wondering why there are only just a few light color at home, white, or yellow, this light has quite amazing different colors. It imitates different light during a day. So that you can feel you are outside. I may put that on my desk, so that I can feel time passing by in a day even though I am at home. The sound of the nature it exerts is also amazing. The price is a little expensive in terms of a bed light, but it does give me some surprise. Will recommend.

It broke after only three uses, and I remember it cost over $50 when I bought it. Such an expensive price is a complete waste of my money. Garbage product.

I had some issues trying to set it up. I was skimmed the instruction booklet trying to find just the section I needed. And it was confusing and annoying. In the end I was able to set it up. Light works, awesome options to select color and select brightness. Tons of options between color, brightness, sound, clock settings. The sunrise feature is fabulous!

Bought this light therapy lamp for my kids for the benefit of my wife, who needs to wake them up every morning. It worked perfectly! The simulation of sunrise helps a lot, totally out of my expectations. I personally turn it on to make sure we still have enough sunlight in the evening, it's wintertime after all, I would like to avoid the early dark every day. The main thing that attracts me is the energy the light consuming, it looks so powerful but only less than 20W!

Helps with waking in winter months

I'm very surprised at how much I like this lamp. I didn't have very high expectations, even after reading people's reviews about how nice it is to wake up without an alarm. I thought I would still need an alarm, as sometimes I even sleep through that. But I don't need an alarm at all, just the light, and its an incredibly pleasant way to wake up! I love it, it actually makes me really happy. I haven't even played around with the other features, I only use it for a light to wake up. It was really easy to set up, the instructions are clear and simple. I held on to them because there's a lot of other features to the lamp.

Excellent quality lamp that will do everything you need but a bit tricky to operate as has so many functions
