Good with some quirks.
My initial review was positive but after using it for a while the gimbal isn't all it's cracked up to be. The motors are just about strong enough for a ZV-E10 with a small 24mm lens, but even then the unit sets the power to 100% and you can see it having to work. The apps are really badly designed with broken English, some things don't even make sense. The firmware fails on the AI module regardless of phone or which Feiyu app is used. Now out of nowhere the motor for the tilt axis started getting "bumpy" and could not be angled downwards. After a reset and ensuring no debris were present the tilt axis instantly overloads when powering on resulting in not being able to operate the gimbal. Personally I'd avoid this model.

Unfortunately no matter what the company claims in the specification…
No matter what the specification claims this unit can operate under. In reality even at 60-70% of the claimed weight it can operate with. It sets the motors to 100% after calibration and struggles to actually operate smoothly. The app is clunky and needs a lot of refinement to be useable. R&D before releasing products is my advice. I think Walter Mitty writes most of the specification and reviews on Amazon Uk. It’s very hard to believe what you read, and actually see it in a product you purchase. Constructive feedback, I have many Feiyu products bought direct from Feiyu that operate as should. The company does ditch product updates within 12-18months on some products.beware.

The quick-release plate is too short
The quick-release plate is too short and is not compatible with regular size ARCA quick-release plates.

I rarely ever leave reviews, but this product deserves it. I bought this and was not paid for this review. 100% untainted opinion here. I've spent thousands on camera equipment, including 5 other gimbals over the last few years. I'm not a tech guy so there have been many frustrations. As a full time Youtuber, camera functionality is extremely important. Especially since I do it all myself. I don't have a camera guy or anyone helping. This gimbal absolutely took a load of stress off. I've always had issues with tracking, even with high end cameras and gimbals. You end up with this cluster F of cables etc and when it doesn't work it's incredibly frustrating. This tool has a little camera built in, so it tracks flawlessly (so far) even without a camera plugged in. I didn't have to buy any additional trackers or anything. Simply mounted a gopro (much smaller than my big camera) again, no cables. Balanced this, turned it on, and boom, I can place this wherever, kitchen counter, pickup tailgate, wherever, give this an ok signal with my hand, and it's locked on me. The tracking is great, camera off, no cables, perfect operation. I downloaded the app and linked them, all the settings are easy to adjust in the app. It came with a phone mount, (also has cables for about any camera, and the ability to operate the camera from the screen) so I can easily switch from my gopro to either my big camera or my smart phone and it works very well. Just a simple re-balance and your g2g. We will see how long it lasts, but this has been hands down the best money spent on something like this, and far less expensive than most of what I've purchased before. I'm very happy with this and would recommend it to anyone.

The gimbal is nice and it does what it needs to do. I hike and try to film it so I ended up buying the gimbal. I will say that if you have a heavy lens on your camera then you will have to remove it in order for the gimbal to properly balance the camera. My next complaint is that the tripod part is only for flat surfaces. With me being in the woods, I have to constantly swap from my gimbal to my tripod and remove and re-attach my lens because of the terrain and the uneven surfaces. I still like the gimbal but it could be better

It makes all my shots better. It's tricky to set up but once you know how to balance your camera, it's a game changer.

The SCORP Mini 2 gimbal stabilizer seems to be working well and I'm impressed with all of the features. However, the gimbal doesn't work with all of my camera set-ups as my Canon 5D MKIII body is too wide at 5.9 inches and my Sony A6400 with Sigma 16mm with f/1.4 lens was too front heavy even though both camera set-ups were within the weight capacity limits. The gimbal did work well with my GoPro Hero Black 7 and my iPhone 15 Pro Max. So the SCORP Mini 2 does have some limitations and the bigger sized SCORP 2 would probably cater better to my wider camera bodies and mirrorless cameras with longer front heavy lenses. The control buttons and joystick work well and seem to have a good smooth response. The touchscreen takes some getting used to but does work well. I was extremely impressed with the built-in AI tracking sensor which works well with hand gestures in good lighting conditions but can fail to track in low lighting environments. The smartphone adapter is not one of my favorite types using a spring action and I can only get it on my iPhone 15 Pro Max if I lay my phone down on a table and use two hands to spread open the clamps. It did have a good secure grip once my iPhone was clamped in and rotates easily from a landscape to a portrait position. The smartphone holder also has a stainless steel plate on the top where the optional fill light can be magnetically attached. One part I couldn't figure out was the Focus Motor Support Rod and exactly where it's supposed to be installed. It seemed to only fit one hole perfectly but I have no idea what it's used for since I couldn't find any information about it in the manual or FeiyuTech YouTube tutorial videos. As a first-time gimbal user, it was semi-frustrating figuring out where all the parts go and how to set up the gimbal to function properly. I discovered that FeiyuTech has a video posted on YouTube called "SCORP Mini 2 Tutorial Collection" and it was extremely helpful in setting up the gimbal. It takes some time to balance all the areas and the camera to get the gimbal to function properly. It took me a good full day of researching and referencing the tutorial video. I also discovered that there are tutorial videos in the FeiyuTech device App but I found using YouTube on my computer to be easier for me to reference so I can use my iPhone and app to figure out how to set up the gimbal. But, the tutorial videos in the app could be useful out in the field. There are two different free apps to download and I feel both need and upgrade or combine the two apps into one. The device app requested my private WiFi password to upgrade the firmware but the iPhone FeiyuTech On App does not ask for my WiFi password so I used that app to upgrade the firmware as I didn't feel comfortable inputting my private home WiFi password into the App for privacy security reasons. In my opinion, the apps work well for utilities and firmware updates. I haven't needed to connect any of the devices yet with any of the various included USB-C control cables but it's nice to know that I can expand the gimbal usage once I reach that point of needing one of the features. The device takes about two hours to fully charge and seems to provide about 8-11 hours of usage and the motors do warm up to 92+ degrees Fahrenheit when using. The SCORP Mini 2 weighs about 2.12 pounds on my scale. Overall, as a first-time gimbal user, who's been wanting a gimbal for over ten years but they were so expensive back then is extremely happy with the ergonomics and performance of the SCORP Mini 2, especially the AI tracking feature. It's a good starter gimbal for me even though it doesn't work with my bigger set-ups.

Update: I've had more time to work with this gimbal and I found that mounting my Sony A7R IV balances fine, but the camera's card storage door won't open far enough to allow the SD cards to be removed. This is probably due to the camera's size and weight. But its a hassle removing the camera to get at the cards. No problem replacing the battery though. ----- I’m new to gimbals, but I’ve learned enough to know, since acquiring the Scorp Mini 2, that it’s going to take time before I know it as well as I do my cameras. The balancing routine when a camera is placed on it will take a few days practice before it becomes second nature. So I’ll just touch on what I like and dislike "so far". Likes -It’s well-made and all the levers, switches, and parts perform nicely. Fit and finish is very good. It’s a solid product. -It comes with accessories. All I had to do was sort through the many coiled cables for the one with the proper connections that would attach to the Scorp and my camera. And the parts for cameras, action cameras, and phones are in the box. A tripod stand as well. They've covered all the bases. -I found that once my camera was balanced on the Mini 2, it worked well and I’m pleased with the results. Handling this gimbal with my camera riding on it was pretty easy. -Small as it is, the touch screen is quite readable. -There are many features to be exploited once I get past the basics. -The Feiyu Scorp app is helpful. Dislikes: -The Quick Start manual’s balancing illustrations should be much larger. As small as they are, it took this newcomer to gimbals more time than it should have to work out just what I was being told to do. Bigger would be much better. -Some parts that slide in order to obtain the balance necessary for operation have a high degree of friction and it’s difficult to achieve the delicate movements needed. A little lubricant would go a long way in eliminating this frustration. It's not perfect but so far I'm happy with it and I'm sure I'll continue to enjoy learning and using it.
