I bought this mirror after getting a similar one from another brand that cost a bit more. At first glance, it seemed identical and was $10 cheaper, so I figured why not? When it arrived, the regular mirror side was just fine—but the magnifying side was… bizarre. It flipped the image upside down, like some strange optical illusion. Definitely not what I expected. That said, I mainly needed a second mirror to help me see the back of my head while styling my hair, and for that, it works perfectly. I’m keeping it because it does the job I need, even though the magnifying side is basically just for laughs. For the price, it's still a decent buy—as long as you're not relying on the magnification.

Edit: I am adding stars because: 1.. The seller contacted me to discuss my issues. I explained that I feel the mounting system is not great. They said they value feedback (though who knows if they will make a change). They offered to send me a different type of mirror. They did NOT ask me to change the review but I do feel that knowing you can try something and have a great customer service experience makes all the difference. 2. I stand by the original assessment that the mounting system is not great but as I said the mirror itself is pretty nice and large and feels good. Mounting it did not work for me but if you have studs to mount on or use better anchors from the start maybe it will be somewhat ok for you. I do think the company really needs to redesign this because I don’t think it would be hard to make this better. Original: I cannot understand how someone could have thought this system for mounting this mirror would be a good idea. On top of that I tried to use the anchors they sent which was a huge mistake. The whole screw spun, and tho mirror was no flat on the wall. Extremely poor design for something that is meant to be pulled (to adjust the arm). Too bad becaUse the mirror itself looked good and I really liked the concept of the slide and the big size. Gotta go return this thing and patch the giant hole in my wall.

Best wall mirror I ever purchased. Sorry I did not invest in this sooner. My suction cup mirrors end up crashing down without warning and cause a huge noise and it always seems to happen in the middle of the night when you are sleeping. My last mirror broke in a million pieces. That was the last straw until I did my research and found this beauty. Solid, because it screws to the wall and swivels if you want to use the other side of the mirror. The extension is fabulous, also. This is a keeper. No more falling mirrors. Highly recommend! My vision is not good even after two cataract surgeries, so this mirror is really handy for shaving; I can stand up straight and not have to lean way over the sink to get close to the mirror. It comes with really good, well illustrated installation instructions, it's just a couple screws. I might get another one for the other bathroom, because my wife likes it too.

The arm where you move the mirror up and down is not sturdy. It leans down. Doesn’t look that nice on the wall. Looks like you hung it wrong.

This is the perfect magnification for my aging eyes. It is a good size and the extension arm is sturdy. If installed correctly it does not sag or bend like others I have seen. The matt black looks great too.
