This has perhaps the perfect thickness for clean espresso shots. I also have the Normcore 1.7mm puck screen. It takes more work to properly clean that one. Both work fine. The grouphead does not get any coffee in it anymore. A simple rinse gets the 0.8mm like new clean. Bottomless portafilter shots are consistently perfect. The WDT tool is most responsible for that, though.

Super easy to use and extremely easy to clean! The mesh puck screens can trap grounds and oils that are a breeze to get out of this. It keeps your machine clean, fits well, looks great, and is a good price. Keep in mind you will have to fish it out of your knock box after use (does get hot)

I gave the Normcore 58.5mm Puck Screen a whirl, hoping it would bring my espresso game to the next level. It’s well-made, durable, and impressively thin at 0.8mm—perfect for adding that extra touch of finesse to extraction. And let me tell you, this little metal filter is like espresso magic in a disc form. In action, it worked great! My shots were more consistent, and cleanup was way easier with that added layer. But, as much as it upped my coffee game, it wasn’t quite the right fit for my setup. Whether it was the pressure balance or my particular machine’s quirks, I couldn’t get it to align with my usual espresso routine. So, it’s back to the basics for me. If your machine can handle a puck screen and you’re looking to level up your espresso shots, this is a fantastic little upgrade. For me, though, it was just a temporary guest in my coffee corner. It’ll be missed—by my espresso shots more than anything!

Very nice and sturdy puck screen. I only use this one every day and it has held up fine. Very easy to clean too. Keeps the group head clean

Keeps group head clean while also being easy to clean, very strong material as well.

Very pleased. Not much to say, it keeps the grounds off the group head and I think helps with the water distribution. Tough to get out after pulling a shot, but I found that pushing down on one edge pretty easily pops up the other side and then it comes right out.

When using it I noticed more evenly expanded coffee pucks, there were less tiger stripes at the bottom of the basket, and the extractions were a bit slower (2-3 seconds on average). Also, the shower screen is way cleaner after shots compared to when I don't use it. The puck screen is also easy to clean, way easier than other screens since it's a single layer of metal with small holes. I like it, but I would like it more if it was magnetic so I could take it out of the basket before knocking the content into the thrash can.

Ordered this while it was on sale as the older one I had from another brand had way too many holes that didn't go all the way through(last pic). This one has a nice weight and feels quality. Looks really good and clean,detailed. I gave it a quick clean and pulled a double as soon as I got it. Did it's job and kept my machine clean, no coffee going through the holes, and the shot itself tasted great and felt more aerated which makes sense if I'm comparing it to my other puck screen. Overall, very satisfied. If you're not getting good results, blame the barista, not the tools

Parfait si votre machine espresso ne distribue pas bien l'eau sur le café. Le résultat est plus corsé et surtout plus régulier d'une tasse à l'autre. Si votre espresso ne donne pas le résultat souhaité cherchez 'comment éviter le channeling'. Ce produit aide énormément à le faire. Tous mes cafés étaient trop remplis et tirés trop rapidement. Maintenant ils sont parfaits

Cet écran est vraiment efficace. Depuis que je l’utilise la douche de la machine à café reste propre. C’est ce que je recherchais. Maintenant j’ai juste lancer quelques extractions sans café pour nettoyer la machine, il ne reste aucun résidu de café sur la douche.
