Very high quality, well thought out bag for laptop/iPad; excellent customer service
I purchased this for everyday carry of my MacBook Pro, iPad, and accessories, after owning several Alpaka pouches. Its design looks good; the material and construction quality is very high. It is also well-thought out in terms of organization; for the amount of stuff you can conveniently carry it is remarkably thin and compact. It can be used as a shoulder carry or a backpack; it has handles as well to carry like a briefcase. Since I didn't intend to use it as a backpack, I was originally unsure that I would appreciate having the backpack straps taking up space in the large pocket on one side, but I discovered that even with the straps tucked in there is ample room in that pocket for other items particularly if you contain them in pouches ( I have a small Alpaka admin pouch I use for cables and adapters that don't need to take up internal pockets, and a small Roaring Fire pouch with a few EDC tools; both pouches fit without strain between the backpack straps without adding too much bulk. There is still room for more. I did have one issue with the shoulder strap, which is in two parts and kept separating at the magnetic connector; Alpaka support was very good- quick to respond to my emailed issue, attentive, and shortly shipping me a new strap after (at their request) I uploaded photos and short videos that demonstrated the problem (which appears to have been a missing magnet on one side). The whole support interaction was smooth, courteous, and professional. I highly recommend this bag and company.

Highly Versatile and Durable Tech Brief with a Professional Touch
I recently purchased the Elements Tech Brief Pro by ALPAKA, and I'm very impressed with its professional design and high-quality materials. It's perfect for my everyday carry, which includes a 16-inch MacBook Pro, a small keyboard and mouse, an organiser pouch with cables and chargers, and an iPad Pro 11-inch. The bag is very versatile and durable. However, it is a bit on the heavy side, and the shoulder strap lacks a grip, which can cause it to slide off my shoulder. Despite these minor drawbacks, it's a great investment for anyone needing a reliable tech bag. Pro Tips: 1. Use the backpack strap in a crossbody pattern to make it a sling carry. 2. Hide the handles in the magnetic compartment when not in use. 3. There is a hidden pocket inside one of the side magnetic compartments for emergency cash / AirTag

A Great, Versatile Bag
I recently picked up the Elements Tech Brief Pro. My old work bag fell apart and wasn’t doing the job, in general. I love how the Elements Tech Brief Pro looks and feels. The inside is also great. There’s plenty of space for my EDC essentials as well as my work gear. I also love the versatility of being able to carry the bag as a messenger or as a backpack. You can also carry as a briefcase, but that’s just not my style. My only minor con is the weight of the bag. It’s fairly heavy when empty. I wish it was a little lighter, BUT my silver lining to that is that I’m confident it’ll protect anything I have in the bag. Overall, the bag is well built and certainly will last a long time.

THE PERFECT BAG...It Really Is... !!!
I have owned just about every type of high-end daypack / computer pack, etc. etc. etc. I use them, figure out they are too big, too cumbersome, too clunky, not as well designed, or just a hassle to use. I'm not going to name all the types here, but just figure if they're really the more expensive high-end daypacks, I've owned them and really don't use them. I also have owned quite a few briefcases, from handmade expensive leather ones to the cool high end canvas ones, etc. etc. and I find that I really don't use them. The bag just works...and works well! You could use it as a messenger or a daypack...I don't use it that way. The way I use it is to carry either two MacBook Airs in the compartments, or a MacBook Air and an iPad Pro, a couple of mouse pads, a set of Bose headphones, a couple of batteries with cables, a mouse, a pair of glasses and a journal for writing. I have a few other things in it but to my surprise I love it as a briefcase and that's the only way I carry it. The handle is very comfortable, there are things like deep pockets below the handles to put stuff in there...such as AirPods...if the Bose headphones look too cumbersome for the setting. I can quick draw the MacBook Airs when needed and I'm set up or shutting it all down quickly. I now use a TOPO Mountain bag as my Mary Poppins EDC bag for the stuff I need if I have to fix something, etc. but this bag is just what I need. I serve as a professor and also an elected official and I have to be online all the time. This is the Perfect bag! Get it, use it and enjoy it...I have, and I'm thankful someone came up with this design!

changing carrying modes is incredibly difficult
1) The bag is not comfortable as a backpack or a shoulder bag. I own 6 other backpacks and this is the first one that feels like the straps are slipping off my shoulders. 2) While this bag is certainly more professional looking than most backpacks in briefcase mode, the thickness of the bag makes it really odd to look at. 3) The c-clip attachment system is incredibly difficult to use compared to other c-clips. I don't know if it's something subtle with the geometry or stiffness of the material. I can't imagine myself switching carrying modes on the go without some kind of tool. 4) Bag has pretty strong chemical smell. Otherwise the bag is good. I like the interior design of the bag. This is a gimmicky bag that I'll use from time to time, but no way I can use this as my daily carry.

Great bag...could be perfect with a couple enhancements
Great tech bag for EDC. My only gripe is that the shoulder strap could be a couple inches longer and should have a more grippy texture on the underside of the padding.

Very sleek
Bought this for my son for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. He can wear it as a backpack or hold it for a briefcase. It is sleek yet sturdy.

I absolutely love this bag! It's the perfect blend of style and function. The material feels incredibly durable and high-quality—I'm confident it will last for years. There are so many thoughtful pockets for my charger, notebook, pens, and even a water bottle. The shoulder strap is comfortable even when the bag is fully loaded and you can even convert it to a backpack.

It feels like a small bag, but holds quite a bit. I am able to put my 16" MacBook, 11" iPad Pro, power supplies chargers, USB's, mouse and more. It's also a great looking bag for the office - I use this much more than I have others in the past. I am always in search of the perfect bag, so far this has fit the bill and is worth the price.

Exactly what I imagined it to be. Solid bag. Keeps a nice slim profile. Love the interchangeable carry options.

I love it. No doubt if you want to buy it.

Disappointed by this bag. It's well-made and well designed in the sense that it's easy to put away the shoulder straps (though a bit fiddly) in briefcase mode, and easy to put away the handles in backpack mode. The problem is that it's huge, and kind of heavy, but you can't actually fit anything in it. There's WAY too much padding inside, it takes up most of the interior space. And the rest of the space is taken up with the backpack straps when it's in briefcase mode. After putting in my 15" MacBook Air and my iPad, there was no space for even a slim water bottle, or really anything else. Also did not like the interior materials. The "soft" lining for the laptop slot is scratchy, and the padded material that makes up the rest of the interior is thick and stiff.
