Possible packaging issue. But great hammer.
The first one I ordered had cut through the packaging and wa bent. The second one arrived in just a couple days and it is in new condition. It also has started to cut through the packaging. The main flat end of the hammer needs to have a protective piece as well as the pointed end.

Packaging was well done, the tool arrived as described. I would highly recommend purchasing from this vendor. The tool itself is well made for the price and the handle fits the hand well for working with.
