How tasty they were
Very tasty I bought them to go in my great northern beans

Ruined our ham and pea soup
The package I received was of very low quality. It contained two ham hocks. One had no bone. The other had more bone than fat and meat combined and more fat than meat. in addition! the fat and meat were too salty and spoiled the flavor of our ham and peas soup.

Added great flavor to my green pepper soup but a bit in the expensive side.

Good BUT.....
These Ham Hocks were large and meaty thus the three stars BUT they were incredibly salty. So much so that we could not eat the beans they were prepared with! I need a little help here. If I were to soak the ham hocks in plain water to leech out some of the salt before adding them to the beans, would this work?

Not sure I can eat this safely.
Does not smell like any ham hock I've ever made. I was trying to make bean soup but the house stinks and I'm not sure this is safe to eat.
