Before my recent trip to Snowdonia, I realized I had lost my Petzl head torch the day before. I spent some time searching for a new one on Amazon and found several models at affordable prices. After considering my options, I chose a 440-lumens model that seemed to offer good value for money. Here are the reasons why I picked this particular head torch: 1. Power: The 440 lumens output and 5 different modes make it suitable for various activities, such as trail running at night and illuminating a tent. 2. Battery and charging: The head torch has an 1800 mAh battery that can be charged via USB type C. After using it actively for 4 days, I did not need to recharge it. Interestingly, most of the cheaper models either offered outdated mini USB for charging or regular AAA batteries. 3. Lightweight: Despite the decent battery capacity, the head torch is lightweight and strikes a good balance between performance and autonomy. It's suitable for multi-day hikes and leisurely walks. You could probably find torches that are 10-20 grams lighter, but they would either be less powerful, have a worse battery, or be unjustifiably expensive. 4. Waterproof: The head torch performed well in light rain. 5. Comfortable strap: The adjustable strap does not exert uncomfortable pressure on the head during use. 6. Additional features: There is an on/off sensor, although I did not find much use for it. However, it lacks a red light, which I sometimes use when camping at night. Despite this drawback, the head torch offers good quality at a reasonable price. Overall, I consider this to be a very decent torch that performs well in most scenarios. Considering its quality and affordability, I would choose this head torch again without hesitation over both premium and cheaper alternatives.

I got this Klarus HM5 rechargeable head torch for my husband’s winter runs and it’s amazing. It has multiple settings, it’s really easy to use, and the brightness is unreal. I’m pretty sure the International Space Station could spot him from space when it’s on full beam! It feels sturdy, reliable, and the rechargeable battery is a big plus too. Perfect for dark evenings, whether you’re running, walking, or just trying not to trip over the bins.

I like that the light is nice and compact , it's bright enough. I am a vehicle mechanic and use head torches all day, I found it will only last a couple of hours on medium, this must be a tradeoff for the small size. It charges via micro USB, not usb C . Over all I'm happy with it mainly because it's not big and bulky. I'm going to buy another so that can one be on charge while I'm using the other. The modes are as follows: > bright > medium > low > off Press and hold > ultra bright Double press > flash red One press to switch off whatever mode is selected.

Only used it once but it seems all good. Very bright and battery good. Used in a light rain shower and seemed ok with it. Comfortable to wear too.

Great light. Very powerful and quick to charge.

This is excellent for the cost. Decent light output a nd very minimalist. Easy to carry but make sure it's charged. My big issue with torches of any kind that are usb with built in battery are that if you forget/neglect them they're totally useless and just die. If you can't be diligent enough to maintain items (check and charge regularly). This isn't for you. Buy torches that use disposable or rechargeable batteries, not built in as they need to be monitored and changed periodically. That said, this is a really good lightweight head torch for the right user. I have numerous torches, however, it's good to have a hands free opinion when it's needed.

Proper headlamp, not one of those gimics

I bought this headtorch for work in November 2023 (currently January 2026) and while the elastic has now perished the torch part is still going as strong as it was when I bought it over two years ago. After writing this review I plan to order another torch just to get a fresh headband. The torch is super bright and has various settings which works great for different jobs. As far as headtorches go this one is definitely the one to go with as I have never had a problem with it. Even when it runs out of charge, a quick 5 minutes connected to power gives it more than enough juice.

Best headlamps I’ve had so far. I’ve bought several other cheap headlamps and it’s always hit or miss but these one rock. Bright, not heavy at all, the functionality is my favorite part though. So you go through the various brightnesses and after three seconds of that if you click the power button once it turns off and you can have it on any brightness and press the motion sensor button and it does the motion on whatever level and it works great and hit the power again it’s off we all hate the ones where you gotta click through like 8 things to turn it off plus the battery lasts hours and hours I actually don’t know how long cuz it’s at least over 5 hours but I just like everything charged up .

La calidad se ve buena. Muchos modos de luz que permiten una gran visión. Me han sorprendido los lúmenes que ofrece y la duración de la bateria. La única pequeña pega es el ajuste de la cinta que a veces se hace un poco complicado pero sin problema. Sin duda la recomiendo.

Pratique pour éclairer un travail en ayant les mains libres. En particulier, la possibilité d'incliner le faisceau lumineux est bien utile.

Calidad, tamaño, potencia, peso, accesorios. Simplemente la luz de filiación/frontal perfecto.
