CAD Audio U2 USB Stereo Headphone with Cardioid Condenser Microphone

I bought the microphone after some careful research on youtube, with the intention of using it for a Cappella multitracking and piano playing (so I can play to a teacher over skype). I am very impressed with the outcome; the mic is sensitive to me and no odd software to download. I think it is rather reasonably priced. I have yet to try it out on my piano, but that's not urgent. The only (slight) downside is the very loud background hum, but this is only when I'm listening to the output with my headphones on; through my laptop speakers I don't get much background at all. Apart from that, I really can't complain. Very happy :)

This is a very good microphone and is quite sensitive. The cable is quite long and it seems to be very good value for the money.

I bought this for recording vocals to go with acoustic music, works a charm! a few people complained of a buzzing noise or too much feedback- i had this problem initially but then moved the mic away from my lap top and it stopped. great clear sound and the built in pop guard works a treat SO happu i bought this!

works great the stand in the picture is not the same tho and the stand to hold the mic dropping down to the desk kinda works not the best stand but not thinking about the stand this was a great buy :)

The delivery was just 2 days, the product looks and feels of good quality for the price. But completely unusable, the amount of interference indicates bad wiring, just touching the cable generates noise. It is not hiss or hum, that is normal in fact old mics have their own warmth that you can duplicate with software. I use the freeware Audacity for removing pop, hiss, hum, but this mic seems to have quality control issues. The hassle of returning goods makes this a poor choice.

The primary reason I purchased this microphone was to record vocals and reading one of the product features "Cardioid pick-up pattern isolates the main sound source and minimizes background noise" I thought this would be the perfect microphone...wrong! If anything this microphone was worse than the one I intended to replace...it picked up every little background sound imaginable and the vocals are completely unusable. The only benefits to the microphone were it's proffesional look and handy tripod stand. Unfortunately I am going to have to replace this microphone but I suppose for as cheap as it was what more could you expect?

Un peu encombrant pour l'usage que je souhaitais en faire. Cependant, le son transmis est clair, même à distance (raisonnablement). Attention cependant, un éclairage sur la base du micro est présent et ne se voit pas sur les photos.

For my win10 PC connected to my flatscreen in my living room (lets call it a HTPC+), I love using Cortana with this microphone. My constraints were that it had to perform like the amazon echo (eg. omni-directional, work from a large distance, etc), but it needed to be much cheaper than the echo dot itself. At the time of writing, echo dot was ~$50 and this mic was ~$25 In my opinion, the mic works great. For example: I spoke "hey cortana ...show me images of el conquistador in puerto rico" (which, by the way, is an awesome place) as well as other visually interactive phrases ("...start subnautica", "...how do I fix a toilet", etc) and it picked up every word of my very american voice from 15ft away from center. The mic is advertised as omni-directional, but it has a swivel head which makes it seem directional. Regardless, I stood 15ft away then 7 feet off from center (ie. 25 degree angle from the mic according to some trigonometry) and cortana was also able to interpret what I was saying without issue. The device also "looks" wide, but fit comfortably into my usb hub without interfering with my other plugs. Some caveats: 1) this device has a 3.5 jack for headphones; if you use it only as a microphone, be sure to disable this device as a speaker in device manager. 2) be sure to use a powered USB hub. I received the error "USB controller resource exceeded" after I plugged in the mic, even with my powered USB hub. I have an xbox wireless receiver, a keyboard dongle, and a bluetooth dongle plugged in there already. After a bit of research, I realized I was plugged into a USB-3 port on the PC; indicated by a blue-colored USB port. I moved the USB hub over to a USB-2 port on the PC, indicated by a non-blue-colored USB port, and everything seemed to work ok eg. keyboard, xbox controller, mic. Admittedly, I never really stress all peripherals at once. Next step for me is to try some cortana scripts. Happy New Year!

Excellent en reconnaissance vocale sur Dragon Naturallyspeaking. Matériel solide. Livraison rapide. J'aurais préféré un diamètre plus grand pour englober les oreilles.

The recording sound seems quite soothing, although the ear pads make the ears pain after sometime. The best mic I've found so far for screencasting. Good noise cancellation.
