My 12 year old daughter was tickled to receive this as an Easter gift and has spent time every day since learning to crochet. Lots of hooks with ergonomic rubberized grips, the yarn is of nice colors, though not high quality, but fine for learning and practice. We did buy a separate, spiral-bound instruction book, the instructions provided were adequate, but very fine print and small illustrations. This kit is perfect if you can teach crochet or already know how and just wanted lots of tools in a handy, inexpensive, and attractive carry all. Daughter expects to do her first granny square in the coming week. I would absolutely purchase this again as a gift to young crafters.

This is a great little beginners kit and comes with everything you need to get started. It is small and great for travel. It doesn’t smell bad and the yarn is decent for a starter kit. There’s several colors and a lot of different tools inside. It also comes with a little book to get started, the kit seems durable and the items are better quality than expected. Keep in mind the hook sizes though and the largest size included might not be large enough for you.

I have had this kit for 2 months now and this was my first time practicing crotchet. The amount of tools in the kit are vast enough to give you an idea of how to create many things that you would think are too advanced for beginners. I have gained a lot of confidence in my crotchet ability and have started my own crotchet business because of the inspiration and small introduction to mini projects through this kit. The wool inside is of great quality, the design of the bag is efficient and it holds way more than it looks like it could hold and is also able to fit mini projects and extra accessories in. The contents given are worth the price. Critique wise i would just say that the small chain markers are a bit fragile but still agile and sufficient for a beginners or advanced persons.

Okay let me start of with saying that this set is very cute and comes with a LOT of hooks for sure. But caution, the grips on almost every one of the hooks have come off after just 2-3 amigurumi stuffies I've made. To fix them, I've used superglue down inside the grip and put the hook back in the grip and just let it sit for a few minutes and no more issues. This is the only reason I am giving this set a 4 star, is that I had to buy superglue to be able to continue to use the hooks. The yarn this set comes with isn't the best but I was able to make a good amount of little keychains with them, which was AMAZING! It's a perfect gift for a beginner crocheter, but they do give you some knitting items which doesn't make sense to me when it's all about crocheting. But overall, the functionality of this set is great. Having a little case to travel with is perfect, keeps everything together.

Yarn isn't the best, but it's good for practicing stitches. Fun instruction book included. All supplies seem durable and despite my concerns about the bag, it has held together and worked great.
