I use this on nights I use actives like retinol and chemical exfoliators (BHAs/AHAs), and it helps with tamping down any irritation from those actives. As for the protective day crème, it’s basically a moisturizer with SPF. It’s a bit on the greasier side for a moisturizer, but it’s likely due to the sunscreen in the formula. It has a faint sunscreen scent, but I find it to be pleasant. Also, there was no white cast. It’s hydrating, and it wears well under makeup. However, I do give it about 15 minutes to absorb before putting on makeup. To note, I only wear this on days I wear more mattifying foundations. This does not pair well with my dewier foundations as it leaves my combination skin too oily by the end of the day. So, be mindful of what you pair it with based on your skin type. I also will say that the SPF coverage isn’t as high as I would like it to be. I use sunscreens that are at least 50+, so keep that in mind. This was also the only product with an expiration date, and I appreciate when companies do that.
