Is it alcohol free???

I believe so. I bought cake batter lorann and butter lorann at the same time. Cake batter has alcohol listed in the ingredients and it smells highly of alcohol. The butter doesn't have alcohol listed in the ingredients, nor does it smells like alcohol.

Is this product vegan?

I use this product for making eliquid, so I'm not 100% on giving you a correct answer.. but if I was vegan I would use this product still.

is this just another sweet butterscotch flavor, or is it savory (like popcorn butter)?

Neither IMHO; it's more like unsalted butter... mildly flavorful. We used it for Butter Pecan Cheesecake & it was great!! We use actual butter on our popcorn 😉
