Works Like a Charm - Lacks Instructions
I had a solar panel on the RV that went bad. After some research, I figured I would try replacing the diode box. This box worked like a charm. I had to heat and scrape out the silicone that filled the old box (I may have gotten a little crazy with the heat). Once the terminals were exposed, I used my solder iron to remove the panel leads from the old box. The connection leads, I cut out with a pair of cutters and then dressed that wire up by stripping it back for new wire and tinning the ends. From there I used heat and a scraper to remove the old box. I cleaned the surface with alcohol pads and put strips of industrial double sided tape on the back of the new box. The connection lead crimps are difficult to access, but I used a pair of needle nosed pliers to shape them and then used a bolt as an anvil on the back and a hammer and straight blade screwdriver to "crimp" them in place. I did fill the voids with solder for a better connection. Once the wires were terminated, I mounted the box with the tape making sure that the box was centered between the panel leads. Using a straight blade screwdriver, I opened the jaws on the panel termination points and used another smaller screwdriver to push the leads into the termination points. There are four termination points on the diode box, I used the two outside points which yielded the correct voltage as measured with a meter. All in all, this was a great repair item for a 200 watt 42 volt solar panel.

2 sets of diodes
Most junction boxes that I have bought come with 3 diodes for 300w panels, this has two sets or 6 diodes. The box is a bit narrow, the tab wires on the outside are squeezed up against the sides of the box for my panels. It's easy to clamp in the tab wires - one you figure out how, there are no instructions - you insert a screwdriver behind the triangular folded looking section before the diode and press towards the tab and this will open a space into which you can insert the tab, make sure to push the tab down and that's it!I had a hard time trying to crimp the wires for the positive and negative outputs because of the lack of space underneath. To be safe I also soldered the wire so that even if the crimp wasn't tight enough, hopefully some contact was still there. I tested the panel and the voltage was in the expected range for when it's not connected.

Awesome replacement
The junction box was a nice upgrade from the Tyco box that came with my panels. I have since purchased more.
