They shrink slightly in the first wash, but they are stretchy. The back of the waistband curls over at the top, but I don't think it's noticeable. They are high enough to tuck my scrub top into. The waistband is so comfortable and hides my muffin top. I get tons of compliments on these and staff stop me in the hall to ask where they can get some. I am 5'7", and pear shaped, and when I was size 10 in jeans the Medium Tall fit perfectly, slightly snug, and I cycled 5 pairs for 2 years straight. Now that I am size 12 in jeans I sized up to the Large Tall which fits perfectly after washing. The Tall length means they cover my socks and rest on my sneakers. I use one of the zipper pockets for my credit card and chapstick, and the other one I leave unzipped and stuff it full of gloves. The leg pocket is big enough for my small spiral notebook or my samsung galaxy phone with giant otterbox case.UPDATE - 4 years and 40 lbs later, size 18, still wearing these every day in the Large Tall. I'm 3 months postpartum and my tummy is not what it used to be, so I like the high waistband that kind of holds everything in on these pants. They're stretchy and comfortable and they're thick where they don't show every lump and bump on your booty lol My only complaint is the ankles are not very tight they're a little bit baggy for joggers but minor issue. Would recommend. I was so happy when I received them! They are so comfortable and I ended up ordering another pair! I am 5'4 and 168-170#, so I ordered both a Medium and a Large since after reading other comments I wasn't sure which pair to get. They both fit me just fine. I feel like the Medium is just a little tighter, but still comfortable, and the Large fits just fine too. I love all the pockets in the pants. The front pockets (which zip open and closed as needed) are nice and deep and the back pockets are deep enough that I keep my work phone in my back pocket. There is also a nice deep side cargo pocket too. The pants have a nice stretch to them so they easily move and bend with you, while also keeping their shape. These will be my go to scrub pants now.
