I had to replace another switch that couldn't power on my access points properly. Although this switch is only power three access points whereas the previous 16-port switch was powering five of them, the previous switch would fail to power up all five when restarted after a power outage. I'd have to plug each AP in one at a time slowly, and even then it had trouble, so I think it had weak PoE. This one is only booting 3 APs, but it started them all up perfectly each time I tried rebooting it. I tested it at the full 1 gbps of our ISP service, and the speed test showed 1100 mbps (we're overprovisioned by about 10%, so that is absolutely passing full bandwidth). I tried the SFP port with a 2.5 gbps SPF to ethernet adapter and it still passed full bandwidth on the speed test. I wasn't able to test it at the 10 gbps that the SPF port is rated for. I'm happy now that I don't have to worry about my network not booting up again after a power outage if I'm not home when it happens. We have cameras and an NVR that I would want to be able to access while away, and was worried that might not be possible if the previous switch wasn't rebooting properly. Additionally, a different brand switch I tried would stop mobile device roaming for some reason, even though it was an unmanaged switch and other switches I've owned never stopped device roaming. So I also tested this switch, but it did not negatively affect roaming at all. The unit itself seems solid. It's small in size and fits well with my other gigabit switch that runs my lower-speed/gigabit-only devices. It seems to run cool and quiet as well. I do wish this switch would have provided a fifth ethernet port for uplink, but I can use the SFP port for that to allow all 4 ethernet ports to be used for client devices. I would recommend this switch.

Excellent value with plenty of power

Works as described and expected. I haven't had any issues and was happy with the price. Seems of good quality so I hope it lasts. Great capacity having 8 ports vs 5.

Seems to work well. The status LEDs have a rate limited flash so I can only see if there's activity at all and not how much activity there is

Garbage. Basically made my network useless. I had to go down to a gigabit switch to get things working right again. It negotiates horribly.

Does exactly what I needed

Works as advertised, haven't put it to a full speed test with most of the ports. It doesn't heat up as much, need to see in a few months of how it'll be. Worth the money for the price that I got(~$45). Don't know if it's a rel board yet
