Also find that the out put picture quality is very crisp and clear, although I am not impressed with the quality of information in the manual. I had to obtain information about activating the sequence mode, from the company. Who were very helpful and gave me fully detailed step by step instructions, I could not fault them at all. I bought this system expecting a frustrating evening spent setting it up. I simply removed the old hard drive, installed it with the provided cables and screwed it in place, connected my eight cameras, cat5 cable and then switched it on. I took photos of the old system config and matched the IP address, did a reboot and it connected to the internet and the cameras came on. I then added my own account to the DVR system. Then it was the APP connection, i went online, created the account then the camera's came up on my phone. All in all, i am very happy with this, the app is great and very easy to use. I should have bought this system years ago. Happy customer......

Hard drive good value for money
Arrived as described fitted 2Gb hard drive and it started 1st time formatted disc and runs well.

Good quality at a good price.
An affordable security item which does what I need it to do. Instructions for use are not good, so you need to know a little about cctv. No hard drive, so this is not a recorder, but a hdd can be added. Menus are easy to navigate. App is easily set up. Note, the quality of your picture is dependent upon the camera quality that you choose.

FLOUREON 8CH AHD DVR 1080N H.264 CCTV Security Digital Video Recorder Donโt let the amazing price of this DVR put you off! It has all the features of the more expensive systems and includes the superior XMeye app. I added a WD Purple 2TB Surveillance Hard Disk Drive and connected the system to several Reolink RLC-420-5MP IP cameras (use ONVIF port 8000). The DVR allows you to mix analogue and IP cameras but I opted for completely IP based cameras and in this mode the DVR can handle 16 cameras! As others have said, the setup interface is very straightforward and once configured then you only really need to use the XMeye app to check the cameras and this also works well when viewing over mobile data. Highly recommended.

Great budget PVR
I bought this as my previous version was tempermental about connecting to apps. This one connects to the XMeye app. Personally I am not a fan of it streaming to the internet, so I have blocked the device access to the internet. However when I am at home it connects to the app without issue. Easy to set up and easy to use. Recomend for home use.

No HDD
Spot on - good job I spotted it comes with no HDD - a 500GB was only ยฃ14 so not a big deal - when you open up the case the HDD power cable and data cable are already there so it's just the HDD you need which is a good job as the ยฃ14 amazon HDD didn't come with them Prior to connecting this DVR one of my four signals was flickering - the flickering has now completely gone so looks like I had an issue with my old DVR - it comes with a USB mouse, no HDMI cable Interface is modern, had to switch one setting on network to get it working and it uses QR codes to download your phone app then once you open the phone app there's another QR code you scan of the screen to link the DVR box to your phone

Check that there is a hard drive installed before buying
Did not realise that I had to bye a separate hard drive and install it myself , also when trying to set up with the monitor it says the password is ( no password) How ridiculous is this , Does this mean there is no password or that is the password???????? I have tried clicking onto next screen but will not let me , I have also tried every combination of no password and still no joy,
