Good quality and price
Rebuilding our 2004 Jeep with all new springs, shocks, struts and front end parts and brakes so these are essential. Sturdy and well made, we expect these to last a long time. Same quality as from the parts store but a better price here on Amazon.

So Far, So Good (I think?)
The good: I've only installed the front two on my 2003 Grand Cherokee Laredo, but they seem to be decent quality. I haven't had them on long enough to adequately measure the performance of the shocks, but so far, so good. They're decently stiff, but not too stiff that it's a crazy bumpy ride. They've definitely passed the "shake test" in the driveway and a bit of road driving. No noise when compressing at all. They're easy to install. The bad: they come with the bushings and nuts for the shock tower, but do NOT come with the lower hardware, so DO NOT throw the old nuts and bolts away (you'll have to reuse them). The shocks that I have received, specifically for my 2003 Grand Cherokee Laredo, have a part number that doesn't seem to match ANY of the parts on the list and has quite a bit of wiggle room on either side of the lower mount (picture included). I had to sandwich the new upper bushing underneath the old upper bushing, because the threads didn't extend down far enough to compress it properly. I'll update again once I have the rears installed and I've driven around for a little bit. I'm giving them 3 stars for the moment, ONLY because I still need to install the rears and I have a sneaking suspicion they may be for an older model Jeep.

Easier to install than I thought it was going to be. Much better ride.
The hardest part was getting the old ones off due to rust. Let them soak & used a breaker bar. One note about the install on my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. The front ones don't come with the bolts for the bottom, which I find weird since the original shocks had them tacked in and couldn't be reused. On the back shocks, make sure you keep track of the original top/bottom bolts. One has a taper and is a little shorter (bottom I believe). If you switch them around, you'll get a clunking noise on every bump. Also, make sure you crank them down too otherwise you'll get that clunk as well (that was actually my issue with the noise). The top housing had a little space when the shock was in place, so I hammered it in to fit a little more snug around the shock fitting. Only had them on for a few days, but the ride is so much better now. I'll post back if any issues in the future.
