After several surgeries to repair detached retina I still have cataracts. Some days better than others. I bought the patch to prevent my bad eye from straining. Feels soft and is a good value but the fit is not good for me. Nothing unusual about my head or face but the band doesn't fit well. It's like the band is secured evenly on both sides of the patch. Therefore, the band wraps horizontally around the head. Not what I expected so have to adjust to akward position. Seems that the band should attach to patch unevenly so it naturally wraps around head high one side, low on the other. Wouldn't suggest to people.

Comfort and function seemed great at the beginning, but soon you find it sliding down your head even after tightening it. The buckle with the circle will rest right on your forehead then slides down to your eyebrow only for it to come to rest on the eye that is not covered by the patch. Highly recommend looking for a product that has the buckle for tightening located at the back as well as strap that is adhered to the patch at an angle to avoid it from sliding down. Will be buying a different option.

He’s delighted with these. More comfortable than the previous patches he’s tried. I’ll buy them again. They’re washable, easily adjustable and comfy so it fits well.

Apparently these are only designed to accommodate people with incredibly small heads. You can "adjust" the band to be even tinier than it is by default, in case you have an extra-shrunken head, but you can't adjust the band to be any bigger, and as a person with a normal-sized skull, this thing is ridiculously uncomfortable. If I wore it more than five minutes, it'd probably cut off the blood flow to my scalp. Also, the band being so tight means that it does not "sit comfortably" on the eye. Instead, it aggressively pushes itself directly against the eye with all the force that this tiny elastic band can provide. This thing is great if you have a toddler that wants to dress as a pirate, but for anyone with an adult-sized skull, avoid it.

What can I say? I bought a lot of John Wayne stuff...shoes, coat, and clock and my wife made a veiled threat that if I ever came home with an eye patch....well, I did. It was fun. Don't need it but I made a point.
