Game that helps develop focusing skills

The box was a bit ruined, but the puzzle case and everything else was fine.
One of the hardest puzzles from the brand. Its easy to learn, but hard to master.. Though for collectors, you may get a box that's a bit ruined. But overall, the puzzle case and the pieces are in good condition!

A real challenge
This "game" is very compact, but it also can be hard to put away as you have to put the pieces in one of many correct ways, but in any case, not just any way. Was purchased for an octogenarian to help keep his mind in shape and keep him from boredom. He liked the "traffic jam" similar type game, but this one was too hard. I didn't find it as fun either. Still, it is easily a 4 star product (-1 star because I have to put the pieces away as described above), just not to everyone's taste.

Most original game in the series
The whole IQ series from Smartgames is great (I especially like IQ Puzzler and IQ Fit). There are two things that really stand out with the series, and with this game in particular: (1) The puzzles are great, and you can tell that they have probably been designed by hand, or at least with human help to select the best puzzles; (2) The games in the series are all quite original, but especially IQ Fit stands out to me. While IQ Puzzler and IQ Fit are basically classic block packing puzzles (there are many similar puzzles to this one), the pieces in IQ Focus have multiple colors each, and you don't know where any individual piece goes from the start (the easier puzzles offer a bit more hints). Therefore, it has a more deductive feel to it. I'd say that because of this it is also probably not a good intro to the series for younger kids.

Cool Concept, Great Puzzles
I've been buying a lot of logic puzzles for the past year or so (buying new games from ThinkFun, Brainwright, and older games from Marbles and Popular Playthings), but have been avoiding buying any item from the IQ Series,, because I thought they would be too similar to Kanoodle. However, I finally caved to buying IQ Focus, and am very happy with my purchase. Focusing on matching the center 3 X 3 grid while still having to place pieces around it is a nice twist on a packing puzzle, and I'm hooked! I played 49 challenges in one sitting (over a several hour period while also watching some movies), but now that I've reached the Expert level, I'm assuming my rate of completion will be slower. Great puzzling experience for the price! I will definitely be buying more copies for the Kanoodle fans I know.

My daughter loves this, plenty of different challenges, fun to play in pairs and alone. Highly recommend especially if you want to reduce screen time.
