I looked into CQR after 5.11 started to get a bit too pricey and I was pleasantly surprised to find an alternative with very similar quality. Time will tell if they're as durable. They are ripstop fabric with a flexible waist that makes movement through all ranges of movement comfortable. The zippers and other hardware are durable feeling and appear sturdy. They fit true to size, I went with 38w 30l at 5'11" 260lbs. The color is a true khaki. The only considerations I would urge people to consider: they are a tactical garment, they feel and appear as such. Probably not the most comfortable for an office job, these are meant to get things done. CQR offers pants of similar quality that are closer in appearance to chinos while still being functional and rugged but they don't have the tactical vibe these present. Highly recommend and I will be checking out CQR's other products as well. Review: Tactical knock out! - These tactical pants I thought were not going to be very good, turned out to be quite good. Water repellent, light weight and stretchy waist. I couldn’t ask for any more. The stitching is well done and the fabric is quality. The fit was nice. I’m 6’2” and 300lb and they fit perfect. The only problem is I thought I was a 30” in seam but I’m a 32”. They are a little short but that’s my fault so I just wear low pro shoes and they’re fine. The zipper seem tough and not girly so it should last. Very nice tactical pants that have pockets galore. Also has a magazine pocket which is nice.

Great, heavy duty, work pants.
Love , love , love the pockets in these CQR pants. They’re great and much better than other pants I’ve ordered. Their placement, depth and number of pockets is awesome. Love the colors too. I ordered khaki and cougar. The pants seem well made and are very durable. The fit is perfect . The only downside for me is the thickness of the fabric. I ordered a different pant from the same company. The fabric was lighter but the pockets were not well designed. If you want good heavy duty, tough work pants, these are for you.!

So far so good
These are nice pants, the pockets are in all the right places for Law Enforcement use. As well, they are lite weight and are comfortable. Just keep in mind that these are more for warm weather, or to be worn with a pair of base layers in colder weather. The price is a little high, but wwill see how they last in the wear and tear part.

Wrinkle Free and Indestructable
My husband is good at destroying clothing. The fabric of these pants releases stains, is wrinkle free, and surprisingly classy enough to wear out to dinner with a decent collared shirt. They are practically indestructable. Wash after wash, they hold up and look like they came out of the package new. As a result, I have bought several pairs. His only complaint is that he can't find his keys or phone in all the pockets. And still we marry them!

Terrific
I love em'. These are amazing. The material reminds me of the rip-stop woodland cammies issued to me back in the day (late 70's-thru the 80's). Tough, lightweight and in general, just feels nice to wear. Definitely like the pockets. The mag pocket secures a Magpul magazine nicely, but you won't be able to use the flap. With, or without, a Magpul 'Assist' on it. Regardless, I still use it at the range and the snugness holds it in place while traveling, during 'Three Gun' competitions or other activities. Fit and feel is amazing. For those who say it is tight in the waist, or tight in the thighs, I have one word for you: GYM. And for those complaining about being to roomy: Something tells me these weren't designed and made for the trendy, skinny trousered types. They're made for active wear. You know, trails, range, etc. Not as a fashion statement at the oxygen bar or something. Anyway, after wearing them all day and working on my Jeep and quad, I am sold on buying more. I bought three of this model initially and plan on getting another three or so. Definitely sturdy and well made. My only complaint might be, might be, is the zipper. The zipper is very nice and definitely sewn in correctly. It is strong. I'm just 'Old School' and like button's for the crotch area. Again, it's a very nice and strong zipper, so it's not a huge problem. Just a preference thing with me.

HUGE LET DOWN
I bought these on Nov 9th 2025. About a week ago, end of feb 2026, the left main pocket ripped due to the mesh material. I will say these pants do fit almost true to size and I love them except for the pockets. I wanted to wait to review these after I had worn them a few months. I work at an auto shop, which the waterproof and rip resistant material really makes a diffrence. However, it was and has been a MAJOR let down and inconvenience, that the pocket ripped, and the worst part about it, I usually keep only my phone in this pocket if that. I noticed other reviews stating the same thing about the pockets ripping. I did catch these at a minor discount, I think they were like $43, when i did purchase them, but if the pockets aren't changed then these DEFINITELY ARE NOT WORTH $50. Maybe $30, as I havn't even owned these pants for 4 months and they already ripped, and I sure as hell will NEVER pay $50 for them. Also while the belt straps are wider and good for belts, if you use any type of clip or carabiner for keys or other things, unles its huge which mine isnt, its extremely hard tp clip anything to them. The company should invest in something to correct this.
